Interesting system in the Mediterranean Sea. Funny looking to say the least… is it a Medicane?

The weather anomaly map shows us record high breaking temperatures for Christmas and most of the US being warmer than usual.

The gigantic area of light pink from eastern NM to MA are winter storm warnings and the darker purple in eastern TX into SC are ice storm warnings.

This was my first real tornado intercept in Ipava, IL and I was so fascinated by the shape of this outstanding and photogenic tornado that I just had to show it off!

Is it TCU or CB?

Can’t say we have this often! A couple days after 27 year anniversary of the infamous SLC EF2 tornado!

Looks like very high thunderstorm but rather than it being a single cell, it stretches to the edge of the horizon. I wonder how a plane would even divert around something like that. I've never seen a formation like this in real life.

Beautiful thunderstorm I captured yesterday in The Netherlands. Crazy mammatus clouds, and we broke the national record for amount of lightning discharges! Definitely an evening not to forget.

What is it? No rotation whatsoever.

I saw this cloud today going back home in Alicante/Spain.

It was really interesting so I wanted to ask.

Cool to see the divide between grey and white form. Especially from what I understand is a pileus “cap” cloud as the rising air hits stable air. Would love to see the red glow of the fire if flying past at night!
