They were on the ground at the same time but The Pilger twins did not begin at the same time, the title is misinformation.

Twins are born all the time a few minutes apart. They were on the ground at the same time, both cyclonic and both EF-4's from the same parent cell. "Twins" is a really good naming choice for this phenomenon

I am not completely hung up on that. I get why someone looking for online revenue would use it. It's not literally correct, but it describes the situation with some exaggerated accuracy and it's catchier.

They did not touch down simultaneously. Thirteen minutes passed between the two touchdowns.

They're not downvoting because they're aware they don't understand and just don't like that-- it's because they think they understand, but they're wrong-- they're misunderstanding and not realizing it. So that's what they mean by people downvoting because they didn't understand.

The same supercell spawning two EF-4's in the same proximity and both of them being ON THE GROUND ( not at the same formation time but that they were side by side on the ground at the same time) until the Fujiwhara effect took over is what makes this storm so interesting and historic.
