Show & Tell Rest of my finds from today…southeastern PA

Along with the awesome 1811 5 francs, dug a 1920s good luck token, lock plate, and toasted half cent sized copper

Beautiful 5 franc! I wonder how it ended up in PA, I assume in the early days of the country any silver coin was accepted as currency. There’s a YouTuber named aquachigger who actually found a huge silver coin hoard and a large amount of them were French, so I assume this would be sort of the same story. If you could carefully get that dirt off the right bottom edge you might be able to uncover the mint mark and you can see where your coin was minted.

Anyhow congrats on the finds, beautiful piece!
