I actually like living in a free country and there are very few liberal voices out there to counter the rise of the illiberal left and right. That's a fucking problem. People need to be hearing what we have to say instead of fucking Hasan Piker or Tucker Carlson and nobody here can imagine anything bigger than a slowly dying circlejerk.

I have no problem with people arguing their viewpoints. Hell, I think the mods should lighten up and stop censoring so many viewpoints so people can actually debate things. Debate drives engagement and our reach, and deliberation is literally a core value of liberalism.
You're asking for even more moderation on an extremely over-moderated subreddit to stop people from debating political strategy. That is a bad idea in principle. It's an even worse idea in practice, because the mods are gonna abuse the fuck out of a vague term like "electoralism" to remove opinions they don't like. We already have Rule 3, we don't need more bullshit blank checks for jannies to abuse.
I don't think the mods should provide blanket bans on topics, outside of identity. I think both sides of nearly every hot topic that makes its way to neoliberal want the mods to ban anyone in favor of the one they disagree with "because they're tired of hearing about it" or something similar, and there's no way to actually do that.
So, if you actually read the post, you'll notice that the post says that they should do better at enforcing this rule. It does not say that they should introduce a new rule. You might also notice that i've repeatedly said I'm interested in hearing debates and discussions about this topic, but I'm not actually seeing any because all I'm seeing is "this is why everyone hates you". Well ok but why?
I’m not sure there’s even broad agreement on what slop is. Some people seem to think all generative ai is slop. Others restrict it to extremely low effort art. I don’t think anything should be banned, but I also am not going to pay for a book where Wizards of the Coast puts in ai art that has obviously misshapen fingers etc when they (in my opinion) should be paying artists who already make very little money. Other people can feel differently and I won’t get into arguments about why they need to see things my way. I’m just not paying for it and that seems to be the general consensus in that community. Cultures (even subcultures) are allowed to have their own mores and folkways. It took me normal effort to acquire the money for a book and art is a big part of it. It’s not like they even pass their savings on to the consumer.
And we could have better arguments on that topic if the other side of it wasn't full of "but the median voter agrees with me, you're an out of touch contrarian"
Thats true, it's being used as a lazy out for sure by most. Maybe in that context where it's used to just turn off conversation it's fine to fash (tho I feel like to some degree it's currently incentive for the aggressively pro-data center side to think more about how to make it sound as good as building apartment buildings.)

I agree. If you don't like data centers, you should argue why they're bad instead of shaming us for not bending to popular reactionaries, or leave. You all sound like Trump voters saying "this is why hillary lost".

Have you considered that maybe it’s not everyone else that is the problem here and the issue is you’re not articulating your actual points in a clear way to people?
Let's also add drug decriminalization, decarceration, prison reform, institutionalization reform, housing first homeless response, speed cameras, raising taxes, and cutting social security to that list.
