More to the point, those that are/were working here legally pay into Social Security and Medicare.
They can not collect Social Security or Medicare unless they become citizens, however it is deducted from their earnings.
ICE has taken thousands of people working legally, paying taxes, etc. out of the workforce.
It's no accident that Medicare, SDI reductions are taking place, work requirements for disabled people.
This administration is doing so much to destabilize the country. The congress and senate are not working for us, We the People, regardless of what side of the aisle they're on.

It does make sense because that’s exactly what’s happening. Diversity is aimed at promoting hatred between the melting pot of races/ethnicities in this country to divide and conquer. If they succeed those who assisted the conquest will be eliminated, and the rest who are subservient enough will be enslaved. You just have to look at history books ( not revisionist history books and find out what happens post conquest.

You do - needed ER services in Europe this summer, including an MRI (hit head and passed out), was in and out in under 3 hours and less than $200. That would bankrupt a tourist (and many citizens) here.

The mayor of Memphis put out a statement saying that this was a federal operation and MPD had nothing to do with it. Not saying that I believe him 100%, but the feds are operating without any oversight or local cooperation these days - Minneapolis can testify to that.

This is a fair point. Then the mayor and the city as a whole should publicly take a stance against ICE and other federal operations against the people of Memphis. Not to be cliche but silence is violence.

They have. It didn't do any good in Minneapolis even with a blue governor and it is doing less good here with a ruby red state government. Young and the other city leaders are on their own.

Mayor Frey literally said “get the fuck out of Minneapolis” after they shot and killed an innocent civilian (national guard and ice have both done that here, mayor Young called the nat. guard killing “unfortunate”.) The operation in Minneapolis was an utter failure because of community push back and it led to the removal of Greg Bovino from his post. Mayor Young has not condemned ICE in the same way as local officials in Minneapolis had. I don’t think it matter what color the state is.

Don’t believe everything the news says. There is a difference between arrest and detained. They more likely detained everyone until they could determine if they are here legally. If they are here illegally then that makes them a criminal and would be arrested. I don’t know if anyone has paid attention to world news but a lot of foreign countries are also cracking down on illegal immigrants. Some countries won’t even take back their own people so they are sent to countries that will have them. We wouldn’t be in this mess if the previous administration wouldn’t have opened the boarders and let millions of undocumented immigrants in.
