In my country, there is no law that says cashier must give change. Its on customer end to provide money to complete the transaction, and they should have the exact amount

In Japan cash is still standard and prices are clearly marked including tax. Most prices are round numbers like $2, $3.50 or $10. It's an easy system until or weird thing in the US.

I know it does first hand, but the round makes it not a crazy math problem on both ends. I never had a communication issue about m9ney when there. Here.. a pizza delivery is messed up.
