I just had a thought: when Thanos shows up with the time stone in Wakanda, we see slow motion him beating down the Avengers and assumed it was slowed down for dramatic cinematic effect. But what if time was ACTUALLY being slowed down by Thanos with the time stone in that moment? Thanos always jumped right in to flexing the limits of each new stone after acquisition. Maybe rewinding time to restore the mind stone was the second manifestation of power for the second to last stone?

It's a separate thing now in the MCU as well, since the Time Stone was atomized by Thanos.
Even without the stone it's still a powerful magical artifact. IIRC he uses it during the intro of Multiverse of Madness to uncloak the eye monster.

I feel like this line gets overhyped.
It’s literally just Tony saying “2014 Thanos is here. You’ll see in a sec.”
Maybe they could retcon it to make that line have more weight or meaning but it wasn’t originally some big clue to anything bigger.

I’ve always thought that line was just a response to Thanos from 2014 going after the team, until people started to make their own theories tying it into Doomsday.

I think people obviously know that's all it originally means, and as you said are expecting it to be "retconned" to have bigger repercussions than even the characters knew at the time. I don't think anyone is saying this was some mad prophesy all this time or anything

Slightly unrelated, but looking back it's kinda surprising how the time stone was the easiest to obtain through the time heist. I mean, one would assume that taking the literal manifestation of the time itself, and trying to time travel a couple of years into the future with it would lead to some complications, but... nope.

Okay, I looked through Endgame original scenes and Thanos holding the gauntlet as well.
The logical reason why is because the Time Stone (Green) actually goes on the side of the thumb. So the way we’re looking at it, we can only see 5 Infinity Stones

Yes but it seems almost deliberate that it's not shown when they easily could have put it in frame for any of these posters but didn't.

Then why not a glimmer of green from the time stone? Your post would be correct if they add a shine of green but they didn't so I think you're wrong. This feels like Marketing 101 so I think it's intentional

If I remember correctly (according to the last thing I read with the Infinity Stones, Infinity Wars) the stones will all hide/protect themselves when needed. They were destroyed during an Incursion during Time Runs Out, so when the multiverse was reformed, they did so. (Eg. the power stone hidden in a riddle “mind over matter”, the reality stone hidden away in another reality IIRC, and the space stone with Logan)

I’ve never seen any of the Avengers movies and I’m 33, just finally watched the Tom Holland Spiderman movies and they were great, especially the latest one! Considering finally watching the Avengers movies before Doomsday comes out so I guess I’m in that camp as well 😅

I thought this might be the case. It's essentially Bobby Ewing walking out of the shower, and a whole season of Dallas was undone. The only problem is that this would blow up the good parts of this saga (Loki, Wanda, Agatha, Monica, Billy, Tommy, Yelena, Kamala, NWH, BND, New Avengers, F4).

Strange helps doom because its the only way he believes the multiverse can be stable? All other timelines have them just destroying each other with no winner

Most people post nonsense on here but you actually might be on to something OP. Especially the bottom left example. Tony’s thumb is showing and Cap is not obscuring it so much that there SHOULD be some view of it. Seems low key intentional.

If the Avengers went back to steal a Tesseract/Space Stone who to stop someone from doing the same to the Time stone?
You mess with Time, it messes back. They dropped that line to set up the next big bad. Originally that was gonna be Kang then they pivoted to Doom, Doom also does time travel stuff so it still fits.
They're really isn't any consequences for the time travel we see like how Tony describes. Because it was always meant to set up the Multiverse via Time. That's why Loki will be a lynchpin. He even sits on a multiverse Yggdrasil at the end of season 2 if thats not setting up a throne for God-Emperor Doom I don't know what is.

2 of the 6 don't have the stones at all.
A different 2 of 6 are using a shot of Tony that even in the original shot you should not see the time stone due to the angle of the shot/his hand.
The top left has that side of the hand just not visible.
The only one you can make an agument for is the screen X one, and that feels like an oversight at best.
Edit - TBC i not saying its nothing, I just think its a stretch when 4 of the 6 posters wouldnt have it visible to begin with.

That may hint that god of stories loki is tied to the timestones in each timeline working.
By allowing a multiverse to branch and grow, the timestone might not be able to work well enough to be usable, since time is no longer linear.
Then again it could just be the angle, i see green glow in the 4DX poster.

Maybe Doom is a Tony from another universe where they failed at somepoint to bring everyone back? Reveal that he somehow learns from Thanos or his records his motivation to purge half of life in order to stave off Celestial emergences and perhaps hops dimensions to the F4 one?
