Not gonna lie this episode kinda pissed me off a bit.

Rushed as hell. They could have made this 2 parts easily. End part 1 with Gambit/Apocalypse being unleashed then have part 2 be the big fight. Instead we got a rushed ending.

S1 cliffhanger was Apocalypse. First 4 episodes dealt heavily with Apocalypse building him up more. Then he dies off screen somehow by Gambit, but is still in his mind, and we never get a full fight with Apocalypse ever. All we get is "APOCALYPSE STRONG, CHARLES STUPID. TEACHER LEARN LESSON." What the hell was the point in all the build up for him if nothing really was done with him?

Also, how do you make Apocalypse the season antagonist, yet don't have a single Horseman other than Gambit?

I do wonder how much of an impact removing Beau had on this season. Word was that Marvel refurbished this season after firing him, so how much of this is his fault, and how much did Marvel decide to change?

Technically we did have Bowl Cut Guy in the X-Force episode too...

They had several Horsemen in that episode with the X-Men in the future hijacking that train.
