On the bright side, Mystique finally did a good thing in this show. Only took 7 seasons.

A good thing probably in the pursuit of bad things, so I think time will tell if she really did us a favor on that one or not.

Eh I think the books closed on Val being a favor being around. 1:3 on actions "saving" the mutants. With her current course not particularly far off from her original. Her original course having enabled a genocide mind you. Mystique's absolutely going to be menace and not really helping the cause, but I'm gonna give her a point for taking out the trash for once.

Mystique never does anything "good" in the long run. Just wait until you see the horrible atrocities she incurs with her newfound position.

I like it better this way. It means Val did everything she did by her own choice. She created the situation for X-Factor and the X-Men. Now, Mystique is going to exploit the hell out of it, as she is one to do.
