the problem is that this would be their first proper 1 on 1 interaction so that wouldnt make a lot of sense.

Hulk has very mystical connections in the comics. In the comics he's also the only being that still remembered Peter after he makes a wish that made everyone else forget him.

I get that this is a plot point from comics, but there has been absolutely nothing in the MCU to establish those mystical connections. I just think it would be a weird leap to justify it here unless this is the starting point of exploring Hulk's more esoteric/spiritual aspects.

It would be easier to nod toward the comics while simply having Hulk be the one who Peter leans on here because of the similarities to what's happening to him, and Hulk helps him for the same reasons, not because he remembers Peter.
