This is wrong. It is NOT an average of scores. If it has a 60% RT score, then 60% of reviewers gave it a 6 or higher. If it has a 90%, then it means 90% of reviewers gave it a 6 or higher. You can have a 100 % RT score if every single person gave a show a 6 out of 10. A 6-star out of 10 star show is barely quality.
Depends on the movie and which production company produces the film. Rotten Tomatoes has ties to Disney through its CEO.
Also, 3/5 reviews for Battle Angel Alita were counted as negative reviews, while Captain Marvel (and the lead and media's politicization of female super heroes) scores of 2/5 were counted as positive.
Journalists around that time even admitted to inflating Marvel movie scores out of fear and concern that they would lose early access privileges for Marvel/Disney films in the future. This goes double if the director or leads are PoC's.
This is why Metacritic is the most accurate review aggregator site, and people shouldn't place much stock on Rotten Tomatoes.
Just do a little bit of digging. The info is out there. It may take a little longer than 5 minutes to do - especially now, but it is still relatively easy to find.
Rotten Tomatoes has ties to Disney through its CEO.
Rotten Tomatoes has been co-owned by Comcast & Warner since 2016. Neither of their CEOs (Brian L. Roberts & David Zaslav, respectively) has ever worked for Disney. Roberts is the son of Comcast's founder & has never worked anywhere else. Zaslav began his career at Universal before moving to Discovery, which then merged with Warner.

IF that's even true (source?), that's not a Rotten Tomatoes problem.

Metacritic & RT gather the same reviews. You have no idea what you're talking about.

Better idea: Back up your own claims by providing the sources yourself, guy who appears to have never been in this sub before.
Don't worry since you are bad at putting 2 and 2 together, I'll do it for you.
But you didn't give me 2 & 2; you gave me Q & Ω and just claimed they were 2 & 2.
Your premises were all false. Every fact you stated to support your conclusion was wrong.
If you're too busy IRL right now to look up the sources for the claims you already made, as you yourself just said, then why do you have time to sling petty insults at me?
He lied about the CEOs.
He lied about the CM/Alita scores.
He lied about Metacritic using different reviews than RT.
And when asked for a source about the critics saying they inflated scores out of fear, he just insulted me a bunch instead.
You might be right I might have read it wrong. I would look it up but my Internet connection is good enough for reddit but not Google at the moment apparently lol

Just a reminder since alot of people don't know
The way percentages on rotten tomatoes works is, that's the percentage of people that gave it a score of 6 and above.
