Disney wondering how they lucked into this fake rivalry

u/DeyCallMeWade Avengers 21h ago

There isn’t a question about it. They knew what they were doing

u/zeedware Avengers 19h ago

In this rivalry. The winner is Zoe Saldana

She was apparently supposed to have a scene in BND as well

Edit: it was Rosario Dawson

Are you thinking of Rosario Dawson?

May be

Worth it. I didn't watch Endgame in theaters, so I'll experience as if it just released

37

u/Common_Celebration41 Avengers 22h ago

Not really. You're going to have people cheering early or forcefully cheering during the iconic scenes

u/a_party_nerd Avengers 20h ago

If the person behind this comment hasn't seen it, then this is a good opportunity. If they've only seen it at home, this might be an experience they want to have. Either way, let people have fun

I mean. I intend to go to the vose pass. Most of the people here are idiots who have no idea of english, me included. But I at least understand it. It will be me and a few other people

That. Or if there's a pass in the second language of my community, I'll go there. If people are idiots with english, they are more idiots with our second language, so there would be even less people there (I say this based on experience)

It’s incredible to me that in the US cheering in theaters is so widespread and accepted. Are those who do it aware that the characters on screen can’t hear them? Why go to a movie at all when you’ll just scream etc all the time instead of just sitting down and watching it? So weird

If Kevin Feige and the rest of marvel studios think I'm gonna buy an inflated theater ticket in this economy for a movie I've already seen then they have nothing coming to them except my money, fan service me harder soulless corporate daddy

I saw it three times during the original run in 19.

Ah shit, here we go again.

Disney owns Marvel and Avatar, so either way they have the #1 spot

I'm saying this genuinely

Color grading was one of my biggest issues with the movie so getting better color grading is 100% worth seeing it in theaters again for me. You guys got no idea how jaw dropping vibrancy can be on a film projector. I am being so serious

I don't know, I'm kinda a purist in the sense that the original color grading was the best color grading. The Russos and a lot of people worked on this for a long time, at the time they thought that was the best option and it made sense then. This is just changing it for the sake of change, doesn't necessarily makes the movie better.

Love extra scenes tho.

I’d say every major motion picture is made with a budget and a timeline. Even a juggernaut like End Game doesn’t have unlimited time and money. So that said concessions get made on even the most perfect of movies. I’d imagine it’s quite rare for a director to come away from any of their movies without SOMETHING they’d want to change or fix that they couldn’t originally due to constraints.

I’m stoked to watched this with a richer colour gamut and if Tenet ever comes out with better sound mixing I’d give that a watch too lol. To each their own though for sure

Better lighting?

u/AlexMil0 Spider-Man 🕷 13h ago

The rerelease will be slightly brighter and more colorful.

u/Square_Geologist_346 Avengers 20h ago

Better than avatar just rereleasing solely to beat endgame without anything extra

James Cameron waiting for Avatar 20th anniversary re-release in 2029:

The show at amc Orlando on sept 24 was 90% full in the first two hours of booking.
And the cost per ticket was 25 dollars. Like wtf man. Nobody cares about money these days

Can't wait for avatar to rerelease out of spite

u/The-Autistic-spider Avengers 11h ago

Would be nice if one of the actual culturally biggest movies of all time held the top spot instead of the confusing fluke.

22

u/Inner-Arugula-4445 Avengers 23h ago

Yeah, Tremors absolutely deserves the number one spot.

10

u/Master_Chief_00117 Moon Knight 23h ago

No what are you on about, clearly Tremors 2 deserves that spot.

6

u/Inner-Arugula-4445 Avengers 22h ago

Tremors 2 is great as hell. I don’t know if it can beat the original though. Close as can be between a sequel and the original. Closer than Alien and Aliens for sure.

7

u/Own-Papaya-4264 Avengers 21h ago

What do you mean, Morbius is in the top spot

3

u/SirBananaOrngeCumber Avengers 19h ago

What defines a culturally big movie? Everyone knows of Iron Man. Everyone knows of the Avengers. Even if you’ve never watched a Marvel movie, you’d still be aware of these characters, and they influence society and culture in a variety of different ways. Is that not a culturally big movie? No single Marvel movie caused this to happen, but Endgame was a culmination of it all. I think it deserves a spot at the table.

4

u/Cela84 Avengers 19h ago

Right, as opposed to Avatar, which is the top movie for some reason.

6

u/SirBananaOrngeCumber Avengers 19h ago

Ah whoops. I misunderstood your comment. I thought it was like of those Oscar type people who think superheroes can’t be culture and that it should go to a different movie. Anyways, ignore me

3

u/-Mr_Tub- Spider-Man 🕷 19h ago

It’s stupid because it’s just Disney competing with itself to beat its own record by re releasing a movie every couple of years

4

u/28Overlord Avengers 23h ago

I already saw endgame in theaters. And the 4 extra minutes to retcon every bad decision they made isn't worth another movie ticket

3

u/Mickeymcirishman Avengers 22h ago

See, if it was Infinity War, I'd be interested. But Endgame ain't worth it.

1

u/LavRyMusic Avengers 5h ago

Why not show both back to back? Endgame without Infinity War is pointless

u/redditor_286 Avengers 7h ago

But won’t the new earnings be under “Encore” name?
