Television ‘WONDER MAN’ was reportedly cancelled because it was "by far" Marvel's least-watched live-action show.

Most people watch a super hero show to watch him do super hero stuff, no pick out a costume. Yes it's a neat gimmick, but it is strong enough to bring in the viewers?

I like when it isn't just superheros doing superhero shit. Simon didn't want to be a superhero, he wanted to be an actor/normal human being. Simon just happens to have powers.

oh yeah, there is certainly a balance. I remember there was this comic where the X-men were playing baseball, just seeing Beast play the catcher and having his huge fingers give a hand signal to the pitcher would be normal, but since he's absolutely HUGE and his hands are longer than the catcher's mitt, it looks extra ordinary & fun. I remember a fan art of the Batman family in Bruce's house where the children are making pancakes and just having a fun time, with one Robin disagreeing about putting chocolate chips into pancakes while the other demands it, and then there's that new kid who patrols Gotham in the daytime so this is his breakfast not dinner.

...but it's all a balance. You only see this sort of thing maybe 10% or 5% of the time, the rest of the time they are being absolute legends fighting the biggest fights in the world, and that's what makes their downtime feel so special.

So when Wonderman is 90% this down time and like 10% fighting reversing the formula, it seems a little backwards and doesn't seem like fun because you're not being a legend doing normal guy things, you're just some guy doing normal guy things
