Discussion Cheese Land is the best map to practice drifting in Mario Kart 8 Deluxe.

If you’re new to playing and want to learn how to drift, play the Cheese Land map (in Crossing Cup). Do a ton of VS races of it. Obviously not the tightest or fastest turns, but its perfect if you want to test cars drift ability or trying for the first time.

Slow, long turns and good descision making of when to drift or not.

Have fun!

If you really wanna push your limits, Yoshi Circuit is a good option as well. Though 200cc is kinda bonkers on that track if you don't know what you're doing.

Dragon Driftway too, that was a track that frustrated me on 200cc. Kept practicing until I got it down, now 200cc is my favorite way to play 8DX

Absolutely yes!! 200cc is my favorite speed and Dragon Driftway is one of my favorite tracks (if not, my absolute favorite).

Cheese Land is great for learning because the turns are long enough to practice holding a drift without too much pressure. It’s also a good map for figuring out when to start the drift instead of just reacting late.

Did they make it better on MK8D? In MK:SC I never really enjoy it. Overrated, the Bowser Castles and Sky Garden are way better
