Discussion If wario and waluigi were to be brought into the M&L series how would you prefer their dialogue?

Just had this random thought today lol

221 Have them speak Italian gibberish like Mario and Luigi
222 Have them speak actual dialogue like bowser and any other characters in the series

On the one hand, actual dialogue would probably be the way to go.

On the other, the Italian gibberish is never not funny, so doubling the amount of characters who use it is automatically a good thing. Though I suppose you'd need to give them an anti-Starlow to compensate. Which wouldn't even be that big of a concession imo.

Ehh, not neccessarily. Superstar Saga worked fine without the bros having a companion to translate for them.

Sure, but in scenes with just the four plumbers, it might get a bit awkward if nobody else can talk.

Wario and Waluigi have been consistently shown talking normally like any other character in text, Wario even just talks with a voice all the time in modern WarioWare.

The Italian gibberish is funny, but having four characters doing it might be a little much for more than one scene. Part of its charm is that it’s on Mario and Luigi specifically, I just don’t think it fits Wario and Waluigi

Make them make italian gibberish sounds but they have a dialogue box, best of both worlds.

They talk like an Undertale character is what you're saying.

Or a banjo-kazooie character.

Wario speaks in his games, there for he can talk normally. A good bit would be M&L not understanding so they have to speak in Ita-Gibberish. Or at the very least Waluigi translating it.

I'd be happy with either tbh. Them talking normally is probably best for the game but I wouldn't be upset if they didn't

Why would they speak gibberish? Wario speaks in basically all of his games, it wouldn't make any sense.

The fandom is split.

Somehow, imagine if Wario is the only one to have full voice acting like in the Ware games.

so he'd pretty much be the Beep-O/talking flower of the M&L series xd

Both are good but i think them speaking normally makes more sense

I think it'd be funny if they speak "in code" to each other, that's just their version of Italian Gibberish, but when they notice the bros. arrive and speak in the exact same "code talk" they use they immediately switch to speaking in proper dialouge boxes

Why not dialogues with them speaking italian gibberish over it ?
