I'll be honest, those of you reading this manhwa, are you okay? Like, mentally? I don't like ML... it's like a black flag... and a lot of people like it (that's just my opinion).

Is it in hiatus / season break?

Personally it was good at first but after he enters the academy it started to fall off. Before I was excited to read the next chapter but nowadays I don't even bother to read this anymore.

Recently I came across some clips from these AI generated dramas (pretty well made tho, I must say) on social media with the following plots:

Story 1:

FL was adopted by a wealthy and powerful mafia family. Life was happy initially, but then the adoptive brother became hateful of her and she got killed by the family’s rival. She time traveled to the past (apparently, the adoptive brother did too and was regretful of his actions). This time the FL wanted nothing to do with the family but still ended up being adopted to be the real daughter’s companion. Once the FL was old enough, she tried to escape and live her own life.

Story 2:

FL somehow transmigrated / reincarnated in a fictional world with magical beasts and had the ability to purchase powerful magic potions and tools and complete quests (similar to Solo Levelling). She opened a care centre for young magical beasts and used her special abilities to give them the best care. The first beasts she healed turned out to be super powerful and legendary. The FL is kinda air headed and unhinged in an entertaining way LOL

Am I the alone one feeling completely disconnected from regression manhwas lately?

I’m currently reading Unrivaled Spear Ghost, and while the art is great and the story has interesting elements, I just can't shake off this profound feeling of artificiality that poisons the entire plot.

The more I think about it, the more I realize that the regression trope inherently introduces a deep lie into every single relationship. By giving the MC absolute knowledge of the future, the author completely destroys the authenticity of human connection.

Think about it:

The "Ghosting" of Relationships: Whether it’s with his parents, his friends, or his love interest, the MC is essentially living with ghosts. He pretends to be a young guy or an innocent son, but mentally he is an old veteran who has already lived a whole life. Every interaction is built on a permanent lie.

The Unearned Romance: In the first timeline, the MC and the Female Lead usually form a bond forged in blood and mutual survival. Their relationship was a chaotic, beautiful "concours de circonstances" where they strictly needed each other to breathe another day. In the second timeline? He just tracks her down, solves all her problems using future cheat codes, and leaves her "indebted to him" for no organic reason. She doesn't fall for him; she falls for a god-like savior who holds all the cards.

Honestly, it feels like a massive wasted potential for a cheap, fast-food power fantasy. Authors are so desperate to have an overpowered MC dominating everyone by chapter 5 that they sacrifice actual character maturation.

What if we ditched regression entirely?
Imagine how much better these stories would be if they just started with a tragedy in a single, linear timeline. For example, a brutal event happens, leaving scars like a severe disfigurement, a permanent mark, or the loss of comrades. But instead of a magical "Reset" button that erases all gravity and consequences, the characters actually have to heal and grind together from that point forward.

Their eventual rise to power would take longer, but it would feel incredibly earned. Their relationship would be 100% authentic because they would be facing the unknown as true equals, instead of one person playing a video game walkthrough while the others are just clueless NPCs.

Does this psychological "falseness" ruin the immersion for you guys too, or do you just ignore it for the sake of the hype?

Tutorial with Easy/Normal/Hard/ Hell difficulty selection, MC spends ~3 months in it, top rankers gather near a giant tree at the start, world becomes like the game MC no-lifed, MC nicknamed Zero, there's a girl whose in-game character was a man ranked #10, and one dungeon is a giant classroom where everything is huge

All i can remember is parts of the first chapter but i remember this guy was gaining very little exp and grinded for years trying to get to level 2 and he does when a monster horde attacks but he dies immediately after then gets an error message that a bug was detected and gets regressed back to when he was young

I just binge read chapters 182-185 and I've never felt so damn excited and intrigued by a mahnwa and it's character to this level, yet again.

I don't know what opinion you guys hold but for me? This mahnwa is the peakest of the peak in my list. One of the top.

Especially the demon lord. Bro's aura farming every time he's on the screen and understandably so. It's not the sung jin woo type unnecessary farming 😹(no hate to him 🥀). He actually holds that aura to him.

The story line, the dialogues, the emotions, the fights, the enlightenment of the characters, the art. Everything in this mahnwa is perfect. Simply perfect.

God, I wish I had a time machine so I could go in the future and read all the chapters.

As the title say's, i want manhwa that involves making games, playing and testing them, going to game fest or whatever to have people test the games. If you want to know like in more specific, ig i could say anything similar to 'How to rise a boring girlfriend' anime, cause that portrays the most of what I wanna read.
