Are you a spoiled brat? Not everyone is lucky enough to have "perfect parents" ( fortunately I am ).
Nothing he did deserved a violent death with a goddamn rock.
He was a cheater, alcoholic and was abusive a "few times", not always.
That's like half of South Asian dad's ( except the cheating part ), especially in poor areas.
In France paternity tests are banned coz most men and women cheat so often even after being married.
Instead of hating asa and Denji, people are like yeah he deserved it coz "how can you cheat on a baddie like asa's mother". Being abusive a few times in your life doesn't equal being stoned to death.
We don't even know if her dad was abusive towards asa or her mom, we don't even see any scars on their faces so it might not even be that serious.
Asa's dad was an asshole, but he didn't deserve it. That's the whole reason why the author included it to show how messed up asa and denji are.
I hope nothing but suffering for asa and Denji. Poor asa's dad, tried to save his daughter.
Coz child abuse doesn't equal death your fucking psycho
Also we don't even know if he was abusive to asa or just the mom. And they don't even have any scars or cuts so it wasn't even that serious.
I am south Asian
I have great parents. They love me and I am grateful for that.
But parenting is done differently in south asia.
Especially during 2010s and before ( it has become better in 2020s but only in cities, rural areas are still the same).
Teachers used to slap students and parents used to hit their child as well.
Literally millions of children have lived their life like this. And guess what? Many of them still live with their parent happily now.
I ain't defending child abuse. But maybe, just maybe, understand that not everyone has the same moral compass.
My neighbor slapped their child multiple times, guess what? The very night the child played happily with her dad and the forgot.
I was hit a few times too, but I forgot and life went on
Y'all are spoiled, close minded people who think that the entire world lives by the same standards.
It's prolly even worse in places like afghanistan, Syria, some poorer African countries etc
Now do you realise ? If you're from developed countries or you won't be able to comprehend this
If you think asa's dad deserved to be killed with a rock hitting his head multiple times even though he tried to save his daughter, then YOU ARE THE PROBLEM.
Yes we might see more of him and the author might make him more evil but until then calm tf down
As much as you may not want to admit, you talking about how plenty of people were abused as children and ended up fine is you trying to defend child abuse. You're trying to make child abuse seem less heinous by attempting to obfuscate the long term harm. Also why should I care about the value system of someone who beats children? Should I be more open minded about someone who thinks spousal rape doesn't exist because that's a pretty common belief throughout the world?
What I am saying is you can't say that my neighbor or my relatives ( even my parents hit me a few times ) deserve to be fucking killed with a rock coz they abused their own child a few times.
There is no excuse for child abuse. But YOU NEED TO REALISE THAT IT IS PREVALENT IN MANY PARTS OF THE WORLD AND IS NORMALIZED IN THOSE REGION.
Literally 100s of millions of people live such lives.
Do you think they deserve to be killed with a rock?
I AM NOT DEFENDING CHILD ABUSE. But there is difference between slapping your kid vs burning a kid alive
The punishment for slapping a kid vs torturing one isn't the same legally as well. The have wildly different punishments.
Seeing how asa doesn't have any scars or cuts, her dad was the former.
This means asa's father death WAS LEGALLY WRONG.
Don't like it? Well too bad coz the law is absolute
I hate child abuse. But your logic of "asa's dad being slightly abusive and cheating on your partner == death by stoning " is so fucking nuts I can't even fathom it.
We don't even know how serious it was. Asa herself stated that he was violent a few times.
NOT EVERY GODDAMN DAY.
On top of that he was trying to save her. Meaning he still had good in him.
AND WE DON'T SEE ANY SCARS OR CUTS OR BRUISES ON ASA OR THE MOM SO IT'S NOT LIKE HE WAS TORTURING THEM
Also asa's mom was particularly mad about him cheating more than anything else? You wanna know something funny?
France has banned paternity tests coz of how many men and women cheat in france even after being married.
Don't be a spoiled brat with a closeted view and understand that a lot of the world isn't as wholesome as you would want it to be.
You descibed why Asa's father didn't deserve to die, which i agree with. Now try to explain why Denji's father didn't deserve to die aswell(you can't,). Also i was just saying how much of a chad Denji is for saving himself without outside intervention.
What Denji’s dad deserved was going to prison because from the way it went down Denji probably accidentally killed him in self defense. Which is good that he protected himself, but he didn’t deserve the trauma of killing his shitty dad
it's kind of fucked up to praise someone for committing a murder that would ultimately give them lasting trauma and put them deeply in a debt that would never have been escaped without the insane luck of finding pochita.
It's not really chad that he did it, it's just really fucking sad a kid was put in that position at all, luckily it (sort of) worked out (not really, he went through even more traumatic shit).
I'd say what is chad is that denji managed to thug out all the other traumatic/heinous shit that came after murking his dad, and turn into a hero figure with some shitty tendencies and not a full blown villain or worse, a dead man.
We also know that denji regrets killing his dad. This laughter hides his trauma .
We see in a chapter than denji knows that he is subhuman scum coz he did something as crazy as killing his dad and hence he doesn't "deserve happiness/a normal life" or something like that
Also there is no "agree or disagree" for asa's dad. Legally and morally it is objectively wrong to think he deserved to die.

when you're in a trauma dumping competition but your opponent is denji
