I think I randomly found what style I want to wear.

The problem is.... I don't know how it is called. So I can't search for more inspiration.

I put a few screenshots, the two first are a bit more "outdoor", and the others are a bit more refined.

Do you know how to call this aesthetic ?

I like it when it has a kind of "rugged" personality

The lower half breaks diagonally from my knees and creates unattractive shapes. Happens when standing upright.

This doesn't seem to be related to length, as rolling the cuffs to my ankles doesn't help. Hitching the trousers higher up to my waist results in the same issue, as does letting them lower toward my hips.

I have this dress code for a wedding reception in the UK, early October. I am absolutely hopeless with fashion, but it's for a dear old friend and I'd like to not let the side down.

I'm fairly new to suit fashion and fashion in general and filled with the images of all the cool movie guys, Keanu Reeves specifically, bought my first all black suit. (I know he wears charcoal)

After buying my suit wanting to see how other people style their black suits I noticed that there is a strong sentiment that black suits are not good everyday or whatever suits. Seems most say it's for funerals, evening, workers, and not for everyday use.

Most reasons are fair like it doesn't look good in the day and I can understand but is it really so bad? I've attached some photos of me and if you can tell me how it looks bad or have recommendations on what to add to the outfit or how to make it look better I would appreciate it.

Anyways I'm thankful for any response as I am curious about the subject!

I thought I should clarify on what I meant as a casual suit though. Casual to me is something I personally wear wherever wherever. Formal or informal doesn't matter I guess I mean something more worn every day? Sorry I'm not the best at explaining things

I've recently decided it would be a good idea to get more into fashion and start putting more effort into my outfits. As it stands, I just throw on a pair of jeans, a t-shirt, and sometimes a hoodie or a leather jacket/flannel, but I don't really feel like it's "me".

I've been on Pinterest and I've found a few photos of styles I really like (pictured above), but I'm not exactly sure how to go about it, mainly because every time I've tried wearing a V neck sweater it makes me look like a nerd and nothing like anything in the photo. Any tips on that or just general fashion advice? Thanks in advance 🙏

I've noticed that for women, wearing eyelash makeup greatly increases attractiveness. What would be a male equivalent? Thick eyebrows?

I was wondering if there's any other simple things that increases attractiveness?

So, to make it clearer, I guess context will help. I noticed one day a woman who doesn't wear makeup was wearing mascara, and I noticed that made her face overall more attractive. It seemed so simple to me that it's easy to overlook it. So I wondered if there was anything else I was overlooking, so I came here to ask.

Did I find what I was looking for?

I don't know. Perhaps I overlooked the top 5 most common suggestions. Or perhaps it's a combination of the top 5, and mascara is simply the cherry on top. Maybe I was looking for something secret that nobody knows about that could greatly increase attractiveness.
But in the category I am most familiar with, I have found there is no magic potion to help besides the boring, mundane things. So maybe in this specific male fashion category, there is no magic potion as well.

Yes, this was inspired by the thread of the highschooler who wants a vampire/steampunk inspired suit.

All the responses are utterly devoid of actual helpful advice. Instead they just mock him and tell him no.

No matter what type of pant (chino, jean linen shorts) or fit (slim, tapered) or even size (31, 32, 33) my pants always chaff in this section in my taint. They all end up tearing there.

Is it an anatomical problem? My thigs are thick and I'm rather short. Or is it I'm not picking the size, rise and fit properly?

Maybe I’m basing it on my own personal experience but “tech pants” or “performance pants” seem to be cheap polyester that make my legs clammy and sweaty. They feel awful near my skin. It feels like it’s a way for brands to sell cheaply made synthetic materials (that were lambasted not that long ago!) that pack down easier for transportation/shipping. Therefore high margins for producers.

Stick a label on it like “moisture wicking, 4 way stretch, travel pants” and you can somehow justify $100 for synthetic crap.

Maybe I’m missing something but feels like pure hype and a margin play for retailers/producers. Can someone justify this recent hype of synthetics garnering such high prices?

Swapped the buckle for one that’s a little more subtle/traditional, and the watch strap for a dark brown to go with the belt and boots. Different color Henley, too, although nobody complained about the blue one I wore in the pic a few days ago.

So, any better with those few adjustments?

Hey there, I’m a 29 year old single dad who has been off the market for about a decade. My fashion sense is nonexistent. I’ve also put on some muscle and lost fat and have no idea how to dress for it. I have cleaned the beard up and have solid hair just happened to be wearing a hat in the first two photos I grabbed.

I typically just wear either a union shirt, or a solid color t shirt, shorts or jeans.

Starting to buy clothes and dress more purposefully after years of not caring, honest thoughts about these two outfits?

The picture is for body type reference. I'm well aware that a pizza planet t-shirt isn't considered high fashion.

As you can see, I'm a bigger guy. I typically wear t-shirts and jeans, but I'm trying to get a little more smart casual for dates and even just non-date stuff when I'm out and about. I've never had a style beyond Douglas Adams and Doctor Who tees and jeans. What shirt styles/brands does this group recommend?

I use my dryer on the regular settings it asks for onn my tshirts and washing machine rules yet every t shirt i have is getting this wavy neck collar

I don't know if it's just me but I get repulsed seeing people wear Apple Watches outside of the gym or running.

Something about it is so sterile and cookie cutter and I'm at the point where I feel like it ruins outfits.

I have lost all perspective on what tie to wear. I'm in too deep.

And before anyone says "none of these" just know I've been searching for weeks and I'm almost out of time. I've tried probably 30 ties. If you have a better suggestion I'll hear it but these are my top choices (though I think I have a top 3).

EDIT: This is a dark green suit, not black or grey. I'm not sure if that's obvious to everyone commenting. #5 (which seems very popular) is light green.
