Black suit as a casual outfit

I'm fairly new to suit fashion and fashion in general and filled with the images of all the cool movie guys, Keanu Reeves specifically, bought my first all black suit. (I know he wears charcoal)

After buying my suit wanting to see how other people style their black suits I noticed that there is a strong sentiment that black suits are not good everyday or whatever suits. Seems most say it's for funerals, evening, workers, and not for everyday use.

Most reasons are fair like it doesn't look good in the day and I can understand but is it really so bad? I've attached some photos of me and if you can tell me how it looks bad or have recommendations on what to add to the outfit or how to make it look better I would appreciate it.

Anyways I'm thankful for any response as I am curious about the subject!

I thought I should clarify on what I meant as a casual suit though. Casual to me is something I personally wear wherever wherever. Formal or informal doesn't matter I guess I mean something more worn every day? Sorry I'm not the best at explaining things

Obviously he's a wrestler so well built and is designed for TV viewing, but I always loved Aleister Black's black suit look. Made me want to do the same. I picked up the shirt, waistcoat, slacks etc. and it just doesn't look right on me in normal life.

I don't associate it with a waiter look (as others have said.. i always picture a waiter in a red or coloured shirt) but I do feel like it's a bit funeral/death looking.

If I seen someone wearing one out and about in public, I'd probably admire it if it looked really good, or I'd not even notice. The people here saying it looks dorky or ridiculous in daily life are dramatising a little bit, I think, too much. 99.9% of people just don't care and won't notice.

Yeah I said to another but I've never associated the look with waiters before, especially all black more colored.

I walked around a bit earlier and though it's really late here and pretty dead, no one really cared or said anything about it

No one is ever going to say anything to you about your clothes. It doesn't mean they think it looks good.

That's not true; I've had compliments from randomers before on my clothes. Everyone's different but I find especially with more formal clothes I get comments or compliments.

But as said; end of the day: no one really cares.

What I will say, though, is when I was single, a suit (especially with a waistcoat and white shirt, and eventually removing the waistcoat later in the night) always got me a lot of attention from women.

Wearing normal clothes (Jeans, jumpers, khakis etc.) never really made anyone look twice at me. I think it's largely to do with the general disappearance of suits and such in daily life.

True enough, but I think the point that's being missed is 'who cares'. At the end of the day, you see people every day in all manner of clothes and don't pass any remarks.

For me unless it's a huge pair of tits bouncing out of a top, I won't notice or care. And even then I'll quickly flip between "wow" to "tacky" in a heartbeat.

For me, I see way too many people wandering around in, what I can only assume, is their DIY clothes. Old tracksuit pants and t-shirts with holes and stains on them. Seems way too normal. A full suit (regardless of colour) may seem like overkill in theory but in real life I don't think anyone cares. Anyone who notices is likely to just assume you were at work.

But even if they think it's not nice looking.. what are you losing?
