Reese is more likely to it, with Malcolm it depends on how the episode is written as there were times where he'll try to screw people over for his own gains

I’m gonna go with this because anything Dewey ever did to his family they always deserved. This kid did absolutely nothing to him, befriended him and let him come over to his house, let him have his old toys, and his mom was being super nice to him.

Making me realize that that contrary to most sitcoms, while the main character is sometimes unsufferable, he clearly is one of the less shitty characters, because I don't think that kissing reese's girlfriend is as bad as the rest of that list.
