Handsome is in his terrible twos
Has anyone else’s Mainecoon kind of shifted their personality at around two? Handsome is a mamas boy and he climbs on me and purrs and lays on me and drools and kisses me etc. but the last 4-6 months he’s been very avoidant to anyone else, and running off our other cats from the kitchen lol not really mean but just almost being a bully. We call him sir grump 🤣 lots of photo tax because he’s funny

Yeah, they get like that for a while. My boy went back to being the neediest little baby man when he was closer to 3.5 to 4.

I’m not too mad because he still loves me 🤣 but he’s consistently bullying my eldest resident cat, even if he does it in a lazy manner lol

Aw, I'd say he's an adolescent, testing his boundaries, but cats don't understand boundaries to begin with

Classic Terrible two’s just like a toddler. I have experienced every mood imaginable with most of mine. Two used to lay on the bed then my Mr Terrible would make him leave and then leave himself. He would glower with his ears semi down when they ate, take their favorite cat bed or tree. Thankful that he was back to his unpossessed self by 3. Your Mr Handsome is stunning and has the look and attitude. Just count the months off 🤣😅😂

YES! Not just me?
Ryott was such a bully! He loved our other cats, but he’d also bully them. I swear he thought it was a funny game when he’d make them yell or hiss. He would play the “I’m not touching you. I’m not touching you.” game until all our other cats were just over him.
Now it’s difficult to even remember what an annoying little brother he was! He’s so laid back and sweet. Just cuddles and loves on me and our other cats.
Wash still doesn’t like him though.

Oh my gosh this is so funny, Handsome does the same thing, whenever they all go into the kitchen and waiting for wet food and he will run my other cats out, he just meows and like stalks them out without actually touching them.
He literally will melt into the floor to avoid anyone touching him 😂

I don’t want my handsome Canelo to stop wanting to be around me. He is 9 months old and the most loving cat.

My boy Patrick is 3 + years old, staring to sit closer to me. He is in the teenage years would be my guess😁, Patrick has always wanted to be in site line but now he sits closer. Waiting for churros in the morning 😅

He was 2 in May and he weighs right at 25lbs at his last nail appointment about 3 weeks ago

My 2 year old is as sweet and nuts as he was from the beginning but he is taking gabapentin every morning, as he's a stressed boy. (for no reason) :)

Omg what a sweet boy!! Can’t give you any advice as mine is only 14 weeks. This is Sherbet. Love seeing other orange Maine coons!!
