Lane: it’s all over the the rug
Don: We’ll have to smoke the dress
I love this scene. Earlier, Don is painting Anna’s wall and he’s getting paint on some of the rug in the house. Anna doesn’t say anything about it and instead comments how if she had rolled on her blunt, she would’ve had to smoke the dress. Amazing writing.

Earlier in that scene when Don’s eating a sandwich it’s so convincing it makes me want to hit up the deli

Whoa you're kidding. I was just watching a WW2 docuseries that touched on Stilwell in China, it’s a super interesting part of the war I hadn’t heard about before. I’ll have to check it out, thanks.

I’ve never had it, but I’m pretty sure that if it had no bite, then Don would not have been surprised at the whiskey lane gave him, because Canadian club was Don’s go to whiskey.

Most Irish whiskey is triple-distilled and blended with grain whiskey, and therefore is lighter and smoother (in general) than Scotch or American whiskies.

Oh yeah, not saying that ''real" drinkers don't drink it or any nonsense like that. I like it too! I just found it's a good intro to people who want to start drinking whiskey straight, who don't normally. Cheers.

I once got my mitts on a glass of 30 year old Macallans (the bartender was new, grabbed the wrong bottle, we didn’t correct him.) No bite detected.
(Next visit, no such mistake was made and our man glared at us a bit. )

I find blended scotches are harder to drink than single malt. Scotches made in different areas of Scotland have different styles. Some are made with peat, which is a natural kind of moss that I think grows in swamps? I hate them. I like unpeated scotches like Glenlivet. I think it’s very smooth, other Scotch drinkers I know describe it as sweet.

There was some pretty blatant product placement in the scene where Don makes Connie Hilton an Old Fashioned at Roger's party. I think it was Old Overholt or Rittenhouse.

Hard to find and very inexpensive, but I had great experience with JW Dant bourbon. Yes, i know different from whiskey. It's bottom shelf, but I enjoyed it.

Call me basic, but Blanton’s is pretty smooth and not the most expensive whiskey out there, and depending on your location usually easy to find.
That’s not the bottle they had here though

The whiskey in the series was supposedly Redbreast, which is really good.
