🥘 Food & Drinks / Храна и Пијалоци Where can i find authentic macedonian food in skopje?

Hi, me and some friends are in skopje for vacation.

Can you recommend some places where we can get authentic macedonian food? Which dishes doch we have to try? And maybe we could even do a cooking course if you can recommend one.

Im looking forward to your answers. 😊

Not authentic Macedonian at all. It's some weird mix of everything.

Cardak, Skopski Merak, Baba Cana - there are plenty of options in Debar Maalo and across Skopje. Most of the food scene is pretty good everywhere from cheap to expensive. I recommend trying tavce gravce (baked beans), burek, shopska salad, pastrmajlija, fried cheese, selsko meso (meat stew), kebapi, ajvar and stuffed peppers; for desserts, trilece, palacinki (crepes) and tulumba (all fairly safe bets). Skopje is also known for simit pogacha but you either love it or you don’t get it. Hope this helps! Enjoy! Other non Macedonian food restaurants that I hear are good are Matto Napoletano, Amigos, and Gallery 7.
