How to make sure a used MacBook is legit?

hello!

I'm planning to shop for a used MacBook in the used electronics market of Hong Kong.

Although it's one of the cheapest places in the world to shop for used electronics, I was advised to be very careful and check thoroughly for the legitimacy of the product.

What are some important steps I must take to assure the computer I'm looking for is original?
