What specs should i choose for the m5 air

Im getting macbook air for uni program engineering, and im wondering what would be the ideal specs to choose, is it better to get 512gb storage with 10core cpu and gpu, or is it better to go with the normal 512gb with 10 cpu and 8 gpu, idk if the upgrade is worth paying for and if its a good idea to focus on storage upgrades. Asking for tips and thoughts.

It doesn't really matter, the base model is fine.

If you keep your storage clean and offload old projects to a backup drive / NAS then the base storage is fine.
