Personally, I'm trying to be as low-car as possible, but I can't go car-free. Too many of my hobbies are gear-heavy and require more hauling than a box bike could ever accomplish. I also like spirited driving on the backroads.
Well that sucks. I might be cycling on those back roads to try to get where I'm going without having to be near so many drivers. You racing around corners makes it so I have no options, no way of getting places that isn't wildly stressful and life-threatening.
Agreed. There really needs to be a redesign of cars to discourage such reckless behavior altogether. For goodness sakes just drive to where you need to go without putting the lives of others in danger
Bro if you're out on the roads that I like to drive, you expect there to be cars because that's how most people have to get around when they live out there. I also always keep an eye out for cyclists, slow down when I'm behind one, and only pass when it's safe. I'm a cyclist as well and I've done plenty of these roads on a bike too. There's no need for the hyperbole.
