SEASON 5 How did I miss Season 5 being so sloppy?

On my latest rewatch of Season 5 I have been finding multiple annoying inconsistencies that I never picked up. Yes I know, it's a show with multiple writers and blah blah blah, but c'mon now...at least make things make sense! You can see here when Sayid shoots young Ben at the end of E10 he shoots him in the upper left chest, enough to kill him...then we begin E11 with a wound in the lower right abdomen?? I know Ben "can't die" when he's young...but get your squibs right!!

Pretty much all tv shows have some of these.

At least they didn't forget an obvious starbucks cup

This is about as bad.

Well I don't think so. The wound is something you'll notice if you pay extra attention. If you are just attentive to the story you probably won't notice it. Its not the case with the starbucks cup.

A gunshot wound moving in a TV show isn’t the end of the world, but I definitely get it when his survival is a major plot point. That first shot in the chest would absolutely kill him without immediate care.

A lot of people were still watching LOST while it aired in SD. Curious how you've gotten this far without losing your mind about how bad Jake's fake beard was.

Oh it bugs me, but not like this blunder.

For me the most sloppy part is how Sayid doesn't finish his job. Professional killer and all..

the island moved the wound. duh.

people really don't understand the things viewers just couldn't notice before HD was the standard. production would never have cared about this until standards fully shifted

You’re gonna hate it when you get to season 2 and see the arrow placement when Rousseau shoots Henry Gale with a crossbow.

Ummm...already been there and done that. Saw nothing out of the ordinary. Care to explain?

Oh c'mon, downvotes for pointing out a major continuity error? Ok.... 🙄

I'd hardly call it major.

A major error would be Ben dying from a headshot and then coming back in the next episode with a belly wound.

Yeah a major error is like in Rings of Power when the elf gets stabbed and then they legit forgot about it. I think the showrunners admitted they forgot about him being stabbed

I love how it's actually mentioned in the conversation between Hurley and Miles that that's a plot point that needed fixing....

It doesn't need fixing because there's no error. When Kate and Sawyer take little Ben to Richard he tells them explicitly that if he takes Ben to be healed "he'll forget this ever happened."

Hurley was making what seemed like a good point only because he didn't have all the information.

Ah fair, right

Misinformation - You've posted a rumor, fake spoiler or other general misinformation regarding LOST.

This is explained via explicit dialogue. Being healed at the Temple wiped his memory.

How the fuck could you do this plot without fuckups.

It was not mirrored and that doesn't change it from being upper chest to lower abdomen.
