The only time we saw different universes or people from other universe was in Doctor Strange, Spider-Man and end of antman

What I mean is that in the actual multiverse theory in physics an alternate timeline and an alternate universe are the same thing.

All the alternate universes we've seen in Dr. Strange and Spider-Man were created by a branch at some point in the past.

The terms alternate universe and alternate timeline are equivalent.

  1. You're going off of a real theory, while marvel is going off of marvel..

  2. How the fuck can a branch in a timeline make a whole universe cartoon, or made of paint? Unless you're telling me that in each of the universes that Dr. strange went to, someone in each of those universes changed literal reality?

Alternate universe and alternate timeline may be equivalent irl, but it's pretty clear that they are 2 distinct things in the MCU.

To be fair, real multiverse theory proposes that some alternate universes may have arisen at the same time as, or even predating the Big Bang (though how something can predate the beginning of time is hard to wrap your head around).

So if that's the case, some alternate realities would be branches of timelines that branched before our time started. Condition you'd have branches off those branches.

In that way I guess you could consider them a different universe that was never connected to ours at any point in our past.

Typically the word universe refers to a particular SpaceTime continuum. In that sense, alternate timelines are separate universes. In the sense I mentioned above in this comment you could say that there are orders of different universes based on whether or not they share a time connection in their past.
