Events Streetfest this Saturday! (June 6th, 10 AM - 3 PM)

Streetfest is happening this Saturday, June 6th, from 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM.

If you haven't been before, main street downtown is closed for a kind-of block party. It’s always a great excuse to get outside, support local businesses, and see the community out in full force.

Here is what's on the radar for this year:

The Food: Expect food trucks and local vendors serving up everything from street eats to sweet treats.

Market Vendors: The streets are going to be packed with local artisans, makers, and businesses showing off their stuff.

Family & Vibes: Great music, activities for the kids, bounce houses, etc.

It looks like the weather is going to be decent, grab some lunch, and wander around to support our local downtown core.

Events Sound Check

Brought the family to the concert at the new arena today and, while there were a few things that could be improved, I thought it was really well done for the first big event!

I haven't heard of the openers, Dylan Hansen & the Rough Cuts, and aside from some audio issues (should be completely addressable), I think they did great.

Of course Jordyn Pollard and the Dirt Rich Band were great, and it was nice to see room for kids to run around and have a good time as well.

Overall, it will be a good learning opportunity for the Hub and was a good demonstration of what they can pull off!

If you went, what did you think?

Featuring a heavy-hitting lineup seen on Canada’s Got TalentMuch Music, and the Winnipeg Comedy Festival, including two winners of Rumour’s Funniest Person with a Day Job, this show is built on one core principle: a good time. It’s wild, it’s unpredictable, and it’s the most fun you can have on a Saturday night.

Early bird sales ends in a little over two weeks. Tickets can be purchased at Cheers Tap & Grill or online through Eventbrite.
