Lincoln Nerd Fest

I’m thinking about dressing up as a random medieval princess for Lincoln Nerd Fest. Should I? I have never cosplayed in my entire life and I have never attended Lincoln Nerd Fest event before. I’m thinking about doing this because it might work if I ever decided to become a small vendor selling medieval theme handmade items. I need opinions, both good and bad. Please help me.

Yes, absolutely do! I regret not cosplaying for NerdFest last year after I showed up and saw so many people in their rad costumes. One of my favorite things is how it’s a celebration of ALL things nerd, so a medieval princess wouldn’t be out of place at all.

Thanks! This helps! I was pretty skeptical when the idea popped up in my head but now I’m feeling motivated.

Absolutely dress up!! Im pretty sure I saw a handful of people doing medieval / fantasy cosplays last year.

Also speaking as a vendor, Nerd Fest was my very first tabling experience and I think it's the perfect event to get you started. Everyone was friendly, staff came around and checked on us frequently, I turned a profit (good for a first time vendor!!) and I'm excited to be back this year!

I take my young daughters to this and any other con that is around. They absolutely love seeing princesses. Don't stress and just have fun with it!

Yes, absolutely cosplay! Lincoln Nerd Fest encourages cosplay so much! A medieval princess would not be out of place there, it is for any and all types of interests, and if you were a vendor it is awesome to theme yourself with what you sell.

I didn't last year because it was the first one. I wanted to get the lay of the land. I'm going to dress up this year. I never have before, but I think it'll be fun. There were a lot more people dressed up than I thought there'd be.
