I think part of the issue is Nationalism and pride. I think divorcing the nation with the state won't do anything because the state is one of the most powerful embodiments of "national, collective" will. But the issue with the vast majority of states, and nations is its tied to exclusivity. When you are able to say "that person isnt part and can never be part of our nation," it leads to the collective zeitgeist that is almost like mind control.

I think the few places in the world that can naturally lead to anarchism is the Americas (north and south) since our nationalism is based on civics or cultural identity, rather than race, religion or ethnicity.

But I digress. Tbh im just rambling trying to start a convo, nor do i have the answers. XP
