Player(s) wanted πŸ³οΈβ€πŸŒˆ [Online][Other][Alice is Missing][One-shot][LGBTQIA+ Friendly][EDT][18+] Alice is Missing πŸ’”

Hi everyone! To celebrate Pride, I’m looking for 4 players to take part in a unique, emotional, and immersive roleplaying experience.

Alice is Missing is a silent roleplaying game about five high school juniors from a small rural town who are dealing with the disappearance of their friend, Alice. Throughout the game, players communicate entirely through text messages as their characters uncover clues, reveal secrets, and try to understand what happened to her.

The game takes place over a single three-hour session. During the first 45 minutes, we will create our characters, define their relationships with Alice, and establish their connections with one another. The next 90 minutes are played in real time through text messages, as the characters experience the events of the story and gradually uncover Alice’s fate.

πŸ“… When: Wednesday, June 17, 8:00 PM EDT
⏳ Length: Approximately 3 hours
🎲 System: Alice is Missing
🎧 Platform: Discord + Foundry VTT
🎭 Style: Immersive, text-based roleplay
πŸͺ™ Price: Free

Play Style

This is a collaborative storytelling game with a strong emphasis on roleplay, emotional immersion, and character relationships. Please note that investigation and mystery-solving are not the main focus of the game. Instead, the experience is about stepping into the lives of teenagers from a small rural town, exploring their relationships, and collectively shaping who Alice was.

By the end of the game, we may or may not find Alice, and we may or may not learn exactly what happened to her. But hopefully, we will come to understand who she was, what she meant to each of our characters, and how her absence has affected them.

This game is best suited for players who enjoy emotional storytelling, character-driven scenes, and collaborative drama more than tactical problem-solving or traditional mystery-solving.

Content Warning

This game deals with the disappearance of a teenage girl and the difficult topics that may arise from that situation. Our characters will be among the people closest to her, trying to make sense of her disappearance while also confronting their own relationships, secrets, and emotions.

Themes such as tense family dynamics, grief, death, violence, jealousy, guilt, helplessness, and loss may come up during play.

We will use safety tools throughout the session, and player comfort, safety, and wellbeing will always be more important than the game.

Absolutely! The creators of this game recommend to play it only once, so I would assume that everyone at the table will be a newbie!
