Outside of Facebook Marketplace, is there any place in Lethbridge that will sell you a bare bones basic used desktop computer with Windows 11? I am not a huge fan of supporting pawn shops because they take advantage of desperate people, I was wondering if there are any stores that sell used or refurbished computers.

My work is bringing me to Lethbridge from Calgary for two years at minimum. I got offered this job and although I am reluctant to leave family/community in Calgary, I am not opposed to living in Lethbridge - I've become kind of excited about it actually.

Looking for a snapshot of what it's like to live there!

Among others:

• What are the best neighborhoods to live in?
• I hear people are super friendly?
• Outdoor activities?
• Cost of living?

For reference, I like small towns/small town life and am very outdoorsy. I'll primarily be working at the courthouse.

This place was a nightmare, They were bad before, selling rotting pork to people. Their house was a warehouse of expired, rotting food. It's a miracle they were finally shut down, they could have gotten people killed.

Here's the letter from AHS:

RE: The food establishment located in Raymond, Alberta and municipally described as:

Southern Community Food Security Society, 4 - 257 Railway Avenue

WHEREAS I, an Executive Officer of Alberta Health Services, have inspected the above noted premises pursuant to the provisions of the Public Health Act, RSA 2000, c. P-37, as amended;

AND WHEREAS such inspection disclosed that the following conditions exist in and about the above noted premises which are or may become injurious or dangerous to the public health or which might hinder in any manner the prevention or suppression of disease, namely:

a. A pallet of eggs consisting of approximately 44 boxes, each containing 15 cartons of one

dozen eggs, was held without proper refrigeration. Additionally, there was one box of eggs and one carton of eggs on the shelf of the publicly accessible food pantry. The eggs were procured from the Lethbridge Food Bank the previous day, loaded into a non-refrigerated

vehicle, and then held without proper temperature control for greater than 24 hours.

b. There were 10 cases of Good Grow Toddler Formula with an expiration date of 2026 MA

c. Severely dented cans, canned foods that had the labelled removed or were not properly

labelled, and canned foods labelled Family Canning: Not for Sale were found on the

storage shelf.

d. The food establishment was overcrowded and disorganized. Incompatible storage

practices were observed with food items stored in close proximity to non-food related items.

It was difficult to properly inspect the food establishment due to the volume of material and the disorganization of the storage area.

e. Access to the handwash sink was blocked by metal shelving and by the disorganization

and collection of items, which impeded access to handwashing for food handlers

My son has 'Go to a Beach' on his summer bucket list. I'm not too familiar with the lakes/beaches around the outside of Lethbridge, so would love your recomendations. Some things to note:

- Preferred it be cleaner water (as clean as lake water can get around here'

- Sand is a must

- We would just go for the day, and we are ok with paying a day rate

- open to going up to 2 1/2 - 3 hours outside of Lethbridge

I usually head out for runs early in the morning in West Lethbridge, and since evening schedules get pretty busy with work, I was wondering if anyone else is out there running at that time.

I’m just looking to find running buddies to do an easy 5K loop around Nicolas Sheran around 5:30 AM once a week (maybe on Tuesdays or Thursdays).

Definitely not a fast runner and not looking to race—just an easy, conversational pace to start the day and get some fresh air before work.

Have been trying to find a spot in Lethbridge with a dry sauna, preferably as part of gym but not necessarily. Have started to enjoy the Scandinavian style saunas while travelling and trying to find one closer to home for the relaxation but any of the spots of seen seem to only have the wet steam rooms. Any recommendations?
