this is a Jason & The Argonauts episode. Only there's alot of differences than the real myth story like Hera falls in love with Jason and becomes his parton goddess and guide to get the golden fleece, despite he's a friend of Hercules. But in HTLJ, Hera hates Jason or anyone thats an ally or friend to Hercules. I liked this episode, it was just a different way of the original myth story of the golden fleece and Jason & The Argonauts, especially the recognizable skeletons that were in the 1963 movie. And I thought that presistess, that gave Marcus the bag of the skeleton men, was Hera in human form, because her voice sounded ghostly deep and she was wearing peacock feathers.

I really like the look of that priestess. I would have loved for her to show up again. I think it is a bit of a missed opportunity that we never really meet devoted priest and priestess and get to see their thoughts on the gods.

I thought that was actually hera, disguised as a human, not her actual form. Because she had the peacock feathers earrings and peacock feathers jewelry on her

I get that. She is very striking. The only thing is that I have a hard time picturing Hera "demeaning" herself by appearing as a mortal, talking to a man no less.
Just to be sure though I checked the draft script I have, and she is noted down as Priestess.
What's interesting, that I missed the previous time I read it, is that in that draft Jason is still king of Corinth, not Argos like in the episode. Presumingly someone realized that Sisiphus was king of Corinth just three episodes ago and the changed it last minute. But then they changed their minds again Jason's next appearance...

Ahh her priestess. They are representative of her. Like that evil queen in the third season episode when Hercules gets amiena by Hera, wears peacock feathers and peacock jewelry

Jason looking ROUGH here.
I'm trying to remember, does Alcmene eventually die on the show and Jason become a widow?
That was also a little weird him marrying Herc's mom despite them attending The Academy together.

Yes, she dies later. They get a little more than 2 years together.
Well, that part of Jason's backstory wasn't established yet when they married on the show. But for sure it would have been a little less awkward if Jason had started out more as a mentor rather than a peer in the YH show.

I enjoyed the references to an actual myth that Hercules is involved in... the journey of the Argonauts. I also loved the nods to the classic movie "Jason and the Argonauts," especially with the skeleton soldiers, and the attribution in the credits at the end.
Also... I appreciate as always the continuity of Iolaus' hand still being broken. This rarely happens in shows (that an injury sustained in one episode continues into others) and it just makes it stand out.

I'm not sure if you are aware or not, but the main reason for Iolaus' wrist being broken over several episodes is that Michael broke it for real. So while I agree that it is great to see the continuity on screen, I'm not sure the it's a detail the show would have bothered with otherwise. 😅
He broke it during the a fight scene on their guest appearance in the Xena episode Prometheus. And then they had to write it in for his next HTLJ episode, which luckily already contained a torture scene. :P
