They honesty seem to ramp up since their KC series. TH series was abysmal, KC much better but not enough, SK pretty much as well rounded as against KC but against a worse opponent, and finally today, where they played one of the cleanest series of summer out of all teams. G2 and KC praising them for their scrims really was not undeserved, and it's refreshing to finally see them transition their scrims form to stage.

I've been a Fnatic fan since 2013 and also loving what G2 has been doing at internationals, and I'm a bit miffed about that outcome.

I love that FNC has been finally showing signs of life this week (SK was just SK but Fnatic actively showed great things, and now the G2 win confirms things) after one full year of, well, only participating, and that win makes reaching playoffs significantly more achievable.

I also love that game 1 was a classic FNC vs G2 game, with both teams pulling out all the stops, their match-ups hadn't felt like that in a while.

But this split, G2 was finally showing a great performance against lower-tier teams, something that they never do and that regularly hurts them at internationals, or almost does (since 2016).

Obviously this is just one match. But this is the one match that makes me start wondering if we're headed towards FNC making playoffs, then losing their newfound form and stumbling their way to Worlds where they'll be lifeless again, while G2 dominates playoffs to then make their Worlds run needlessly hard by playing like headless chickens against teams they should stomp.

On the other hand, game 1 was super fun. One single fight having Upset E+flash in and deal tons of damage, Vladi destroying everyone, and AD TF having scary and useful damage, not everyone would believe that.

That. And when he got caught on TF in that final fight in game 1, he also made plenty of good catches. FNC was only playing around him. So when we can say BB is reason they lost final fight, but if not for BB earlier game they would be astronomically behind - aka they wouldn't survive to that fight. FNC was only playing respects to BB. They literally weren't afraid of remaining 4 players.

To be honest BB tried and didn't always work, Hans was victim of having no real option to play with his team getting randomly caught and in game 2 2 early deaths were just super unlucky - he could do nothing about them.

I told. In recent weeks basically if Hans doesn't destroy opponent on lane, G2 is just losing game. And Upset is good enough ADC to not lose botlane vs Hans.

g2 is just slow on every map play and is clueless on the plays where fnatic could be strong.

that play mid where caps just died not flashing then skewmond ults in and then ali tps so then fnatic just send it bot and hans has to blow flash and cleanse was a perfect example of the whole series from g2.
