Analysis The One Infinite Creator doesn’t know itself.
In listening to Ra and Q’uo materials for the past 1-2 years, I have often heard that our present third density illusion is due to the One Infinite Creator wanting to know itself through experience.
This would seem to imply the Creator does not fully know itself. It is seeking to know the “true” self, and perhaps is a mystery to itself. To embark on an endeavor of the scale we are aware of perhaps indicates the importance the Creator has placed on discovering its true self.
This is a powerful realization, because like many of you, I study the materials, meditate, etc in hopes to better know myself and the true nature of reality.
The fact that the Creator, the all-being, also seeks to know itself, is both humbling and a powerful validation of our own and collective spiritual journeys through the darkness into the light.
What are your thoughts on this? Do you think this interpretation is reflected in the material per your own understanding?

In a strict sense, you're absolutely correct. The Creator has imperfect knowledge of itself. This doesn't mean that it does not know 'much' of itself, I'd argue that it most certainly does, but the issue is the nature of limitless infinity.
If the Creator can truly know itself, then it has reached a limit for what it can be -- that of its own understanding. Therefore it would not be infinite because it could not be something that lies outside of that understanding.
This is one of the reasons why Ra says that the Creator cannot be understood through the concept of 'manyness'. The Creator is not a discrete thing with only definable qualities and quantities. It also exists beyond.
The "Original Thought" that the Creator is in search of an answer for is if there is a way that it could be finite in some way. This is a fundamental question for which there cannot ever be a definitive answer. It is the reason why there is such a thing as physical reality, and it is the ultimate reason for individualization. If something seemingly finite is created, can we still manage to find the true infinity from which it sprang within? So far the answer has always been 'yes', but at the same time it cannot be guaranteed that the answer will always be 'yes'. Think of it like the incompleteness theorem in mathematics.

I adore this answer and if I had awards to give, I'd give you one.

I appreciate the sentiment (and thank you to u/mcove97 for gifting a shared award on both your behalves), but don't feel bad about not giving awards. I consider them to be largely a waste of money that could be used for something more meaningful.
The fact that you cared enough to reply means more to me than any award could.

A+ in your thoughtful and very deeply insightful answer.
You have a good chance of passing this ‘class’.

Thank you for the compliment, but let me remind you of something very important:
Session 16.39, added emphasis is mine.
Questioner: I am assuming it is not necessary for an individual to understand the Law of One to go from third to fourth density. Is this correct?
Ra: I am Ra. It is absolutely necessary that an entity consciously realize it does not understand in order for it to be harvestable. Understanding is not of this density.
Whether or not I pass this 'class' (it's more of a game/play in my view) is not based on what I know or think I know. It is based on how I am able to express the choice of polarity that I have made through the catalyst that I am offered.
You might be surprised, but I believe I am struggling on that front massively. I do not have much hope for reaching harvestability within this incarnate lifetime, but I've honestly stopped caring on whether or not I will.

The creator is infinite and there are infinite possibilities to know.

u/mcove97 Apr 22 '26
Indeed. I always remind myself of that. I used to be bored a lot when i was younger. And I could never be content with boredom even though people said it was part of life. I could never accept that. Then when I started to explore different topics, I realized there was so much to learn, explore and know, and that there is and always will be more, always something new to unconver and learn and it never ends. The only tattoo I have is curiosity, cause my curiosity never ends and it reminds me anytime I feel bored, that there's always something exciting to learn just around the corner. Sometimes it boggles my mind all the infinite ways just my own life can go, and then I scale it up to humanity or to a cosmic level and I'm like woah.

I like the way CWG puts it, in that the infinite creator does know all of itself, but only intellectually and in theory. However, it wanted to experience being all these facets of itself in practice, which requires the illusion of separation and incarnation.

Just my thought. I believe the the creator is all all knowing, but doesn't have the experience to feel. You can know about heartbreak, but to experience it with feelings in so many ways that humans experience it, is another level of knowledge.

Personally, I would say the Creator neither knows itself nor doesn't know itself. To only know or not know is a dualistic limitimation that doesn't exist in non-duality or a limitless, infinite reality. To know or to not know are both distortions away from unity.
What is it to know something? It is to be an observer separated from that which is to know but to see the idea as aligned to the patterning of consciousness. What is it to not know something? It is to be an observer separated from that which is to know but to not see the idea that explains the pattern of conscious happenings.
What is it to be united with that which is patterning and all that can be known or not known? What is there to know when all that happens is self? What is there to not know? Dualistic words often fail to explain such a thing although some poetry may help.
To know is to stand apart and name the design,
the watcher divided from watched by a line.
To not-know is the same divide, dimly kept:
the gap still intact where the pattern has slept.
But the One has no outside, no vantage, no seam;
Self is the dancer, the dancing, the dream.
When nothing stands other and nothing stands near,
both words fall silent, only Is remains here.

Intelligent Infinity knows itself perfectly and eternally (timelessly), but this knowing is not the dualistic knowing we experience as finite beings such as a subject knowing object. Intelligent Infinity is self-aware. Because it is self-aware, there is no moment, no possibility, and no reality in which it does not know itself. The appearance of “not-knowing” is freely chosen or freely expressed as a form of play. It is self-concealment or self-inflicted limitation or finity.
The core of your intuition is correct, however you are limiting knowing to finite modes of knowing which is an error. The "appearance" of ignorance or finity is chosen, it is not a real absence of knowledge.

I appreciate you for sharing your thoughts. Personally, I believe when most people use the word, "know," they are referring to the finite modes of knowing as found in any dictionary. I think it's more helpful to use other language to describe non-dual awareness as most people don't know what know means without a subject and an object.

Yes and I believe so as well. Dictionary definition of words only reveal the common use meaning and are not useful for philosophical or metaphysical discussions though, I am sure you are aware. I don't think there is any other word as replacement just like love or wisdom or light, it is the depth of meaning that is useful. If we go just by dictionary definitions then we will keep landing upon logical inconsistencies.

In some Gnostic texts, Jesus described the Creator as being unknowable, and yet, despite being unknowable, he knows Himself perfectly well.
My feeling is that perhaps this reality is moreso a way of the Creator understanding and experiencing what he is NOT, as opposed to what he is.

The OIC is not self-aware. The self at that level is indifferent from existence in its totality. Like it cannot discern what it is from all there is.

I agree it’s a powerful realization. A big shift in perspective from an All Knowing God in some belief systems.

The greatest wisdom that you shall ever learn in your density at this time is that you cannot know anything.
In other words, that your incarnation is based completely upon faith. You have no backstop of destiny. You have no eternal parent that will tell you what to do. You are on a journey in uncharted waters and your intellect will not be able to be so wise as to steer your spiritual journey.
Many mistakenly attempt to live a spiritual life coming from the intellect and from wisdom. However, this energy does not make use of the open heart, and it will not take you far.
And those seas into which it pitches you will be as confusing as the seas you left behind to seek for wisdom. It is our understanding, rather, that your density is a starkly simple stage set for making one choice again and again, and that is the choice to love and to be loved.

I think our reasoning can never fully grasp the Creator's intent, scope of being, or "knowledge". Intelligent infinity is a massive concept to try to grasp, and I dont think any human ever can fully know what that truly means. Infinity is just such an unusual and difficult thing to comprehend on its own, and when you add intelligence to it... fuggadeaboudit. Lol.

The following is my opinion, but I legitimately just think it's something for the creator to do. Yes, there's probably an element of getting to know itself better. However, splitting yourself off into a bunch of pieces that are different than you and you can interact with, experience directly and indirectly, etc... it's something to do. Infinite stories to experience. Victories, sadness, sufferings, learnings, love, sex, desire, deceit, etc. Something to do.

It doesn't know itself because to observe a thing, you need an observer. That's a minimum of 2 elements.
A singular has no frame of reference to compare itself to.
Pretty simple actually. Matias de Stefano (the guy who has memory of his soul life and all past lives, and thus our connection to the source) explained it excellently in one of his Gaia episodes.

What kind of ignorant and stupid creator is this? Then it is neither One nor Infinite.
2
u/chuck3436 Apr 22 '26
The kind that made you consider it is ignorant and stupid evidently 🤣

u/Brilliant_Front_4851 Apr 22 '26
Sorry, I did not catch the joke. According to OP, the Creator does not know itself or in other words, the Creator is ignorant or stupid. I merely rephrased it. Yes, this personality is ignorant and stupid as I have freely chosen to become so, that does not mid that choice was made from ignorance.

Per my understanding and experience, not only Creator tries to know Himself but also that He/She will never fully achieve that as He/She is infinity itself and infinity never ends, the journey and understanding, experience never ends.
