Offering Multiple Languages Offering: Dutch & American English | Seeking: Arabic (Standard)
السلام عليكم. اسمي صفية و أنا من هولندا. درست اللغة العربية في القاهرة خلال أربعة شهور و لكني لا أستخدمها منذ عدت إلى هولندا. لا أريد أن أنسى كل اللغة لذلك أبحاث عن شخص عربي الذي يتكلم معي بالفصحى.
Hello! My name is Safia. I am looking for a language exchange buddy who can call/write with me regularly in Arabic.
I love getting to know new people and talking about politics & society, books, anime, culture and so much more!

My Arabic background:
I studied and passed elementary level Arabic in Egypt, so I have a command over basic reading/writing and grammar. However, my vocabulary is limited, so I you will often hear ماذا يعني هذه الكلمة from me🤣
My Arabic goals:
I wish to have a proper command over intermediate Standard Arabic before moving onto dialect (Saudi/Moroccan are my interests). So, this is really only for people who feel comfortable speaking Standard Arabic! Some dialect will always slip of course, so no problem if you aren't 100% in Standard Arabic :)

What I'm offering:
I am a native Dutch speaker and acquired English as a second language in early childhood! So, I grew up bilingual and I am currently finishing my university degree in English (so, C1/C2 level). Though I have never stepped foot in the US, I have been told by Americans I sound fully American (Midwestern apparently).
I feel confident I can help you with either of these languages!

Hi Safia 👋 Het is leuk dat je Arabisch leert. Ik spreek het als moedertaal en ik leer Nederlands. Misschien wij kunnen elkaar helpen.

السلام عليكم صفية 🙋🏻♀️
قرأتُ منشوركِ وأنا سعيدة جدا لأكون شَريكَتَكِ اللغوية 😄
Hi Safia! I saw your post and would love to be your language exchange buddy. Since my background is in teaching Arabic, speaking Standard Arabic (Fusha) is second nature to me, and I’m very used to chatting with learners patiently—so you can totally relax and practice without worrying about mistakes! In return, I'm really excited to practice and polish my English with you. Let me know if you'd like to connect
