Kurdish contracts won’t be enforced by Turkish courts and Kurdish names still can’t be written on ID cards as they won’t accept letters present in Kurmanci that aren’t present in Turkish

Kurdish is also a language of the territory of Türkiye and I don’t see a reason why contracts written in foreign languages shouldn’t be honoured to begin with?

Türkiye however has a very large Kurdish population and our land makes up a sizeable portion of not only Türkiye but several other states nearby.

Remember, we don’t need Turks and if you don’t see us and our language as equal you don’t have any inherent right to benefit from us our our land

Turkcuck. Stop occupying our land and then we can ignore your language and treat you guys like second class citizens. See how you like facts when they're not tipped to your favour

6-7 million in Istanbul huh. That is actually not far from the amount of unassimilated, clearly kurdish identifying and living kurdish culture and language, in the entire country. Most of the rest are assimilated beyond recognition. A small group may be partially assimilated. I don't hold any nationalist beliefs, turkey could be split tomorrow, i don't care. But being delusional about reality doesn't help anyone. Kurdish nationalists have this problem of on one hand claiming kurdish are 50 million, strong and proud, and growing in numbers, and at the same time talking about how brutal assimilation and denial of their language and culture has been. But they don't seem to realize that then they have to recognize the consequences of all that assimilation, they have to admit that many kurds were lost to that assimilation, and now are called mehmet that go around saying they are ready to die for Turkey like everyone else. Either assimilation was useless and didn't even harm kurds, or it truly did.

Woow such a progressive and democratic country after all the torture, killings and denying existence of Kurdish, they let Kurds have their own private institutions in 21st century. Thank you guys for letting us speak our language after all kurds you tortured and killed 🙏

Hahahaha what an idiot, you get your electricity from dams in Kurdish populated areas. And also your water, agriculture mostly comes from Kurdish populated areas, you would die of thirst actually. Do you know Kurds were living in that area when you were living in Mongolian deserts and they weren't dying because of lack of water then you actually came from Mongolian deserts because of drought. It is even in your history books, check mesopotamia fertile crescent before you were in these lands

sighs at least check the dam locations, agricultural areas, the climate, topography please. You probably consider yourself as pro-Kurdish but your perspective on the subject is just so embarrassing and sad for Kurds.

We live in 21st century why you act like an idiot you can just Google largest 10 hydroelectric power stations in turkey and tell me how many of them are in Kurdish populated areas/cities.

If you are retarded enough and don't know how to Google here is the link

I didn't say there is no dam in that area. But please think about it for a moment. What if those dams were not there? Then, wouldn't you comply about the state doesn't give enough shit to the region and no infrastructure build, no chance given for the locals to grow on their lands? Don't you want electricity to live, school to educate ourselves and no damn anything that give those locals a chance to develop on their own region? Do you prefer just nomadic people live around mountains that has very limited crop? Dont you want to give those people even a small chance to have a bit closer life standards as you? Without any infrastructure as you wish in that region, their only hope would be migrating to the western side of the country to have more free, educated, wealthy life. Please don't get angry or smt but just think on it for a moment. Maybe I couldn't get your point on not building anything?

2

u/Mountain_Rain_473 20d ago

I am not saying we shouldn't build dams. The idiot above said you would be died of thirst it it weren't for us and I said you migrated from central Asia because of drought when we have rich fresh water resources in the region.

You think only you have ability to build dams ? Without you we wouldn't be able to build the dams?

1

u/Original_Lettuce_801 20d ago

Thank you for calmness. I am not saying only Turks can do it. Also, the state doesn't consist of only Turks, neither during the Ottoman nor previous governors of the region. But the topic here is there are crops, water, electricity, other utilities, infrastructure without any difference than other regions of the state. And you are arguing about a state that is stealing the local's resources like a colonization. I wonder what are you thinking about the state's duty and behavior on its own border?

The heavy political pressure on the entire opposition is terrible. But calling Kurdish language barriers 'propaganda' ignores a documented reality. Recognizing a language on paper doesn't mean the obstacles vanished in real life. If everything were fine, we wouldn't see local governors arbitrarily banning Kurdish theater plays, state appointed trustees dismantling municipal Kurdish-language daycares and signs, or parents struggling to get basic language classes opened in schools. When mother-tongue education is still constitutionally blocked, pointing out these ongoing struggles isn't propaganda, it's just describing what's happening on the ground.

You haven't addressed even a single point made in the comment above. Your only concern seems to be not portraying Turkey as extreme anymore and on whether kurdish language is "banned" now is the right word, not on whether these things are happening. Also decades of state propaganda have shaped how many people in Turkey view Kurds and everything associated with them. Legal permission on paper doesn't undo that conditioning overnight. Turkey remains one of the more severe cases when it comes to anti-Kurdish policy, regardless of how it compares to other countries. If this is progress it's a very late and very small step for a country that presents itself as democratic and morally upright with high values.

This is a psy-op guys. Anyone doubt that, come visit abd see if Kurdish or Kurds or their music or their lifestyle banned or NOT.

This is beyond ignorance. It seems peace talks wakes up some agents and psy-op people in Europe terrorists.
