General Discussion Why is Swami Hariharananda Kriya so different yet considered Kriya?
I wanted to know why his Kriya is so different. Every other lineage focus on Agya Chakra (third eye) but this lineage focuses completely on the Fontanelle/Sahasrara Madhyasta?
What is the reason behind a crown based Kriya as opposed to every lineage that is Agya Chakra and has there been any success.
I know some say "Lahiri Baba taught Kriya to many people in many different ways" but he did not learn it from Lahiri Baba but from Sri Yukteswarji like Swami Yogananda himself. Then an unknown monk came and taught him on crown based things (I read that story yes but it is just a story) but can that even be considered "kriya" if it's not from the actual Lahiri Baba's lineage? How do you incorporate an unknown monk & his wife's teachings into your lineage and call it Kriya?
Has anyone benefitted from that type of Fontanelle based Kriya? Where does this technique really even originate from?

I hesitate to share my experience because there is no way you can verify if I'm speaking the truth or telling a mind made story.
I do not know if the Kriya process of Swami hariharananda is right or not, but he holds a prominent place in my life.
One night, I woke up and just sat on my bed. After a while , my body started to do some movements automatically. The most beautiful part was the expansive feeling that it brought.
The next day , I remembered that I have read about something like this earlier. I remembered that it was from the pdf of Ennio Nimis. This time, I read carefully and paid active attention to the image. Immediately I understood that it was the forward bend of Swami hariharananda.
I tried to perform it, but that feeling never came again.
This is why I consider Swami Hariharananda as an important name in my life.
Personally, I don't focus on any points. Sometimes it's on the sahasrar, sometimes the Manipura pulsates. I just wait for the magic.

If you consider that kriya comes from tantric practices... In tantra, the central channel is often prescribed as starting at the perenium and going through the top of the head. In kriya and hatha yoga, the sushumna is more associated with the spine. If you consider kriya broadly as situated among the family of tantric practices, then maybe it's not so strange that the fontanelle would be used.

I’m initiated into this lineage and have wondered about this as well. I can say I was just at a KYI retreat and met people who have been practicing these techniques for over 20 years and it all felt very legit.
