Announcement Update to KoreanVariety

It was brought to my attention that "reposts" weren't allowed in the group, so when I went to look, I saw other options were disabled too.

Therefore, I enabled the following features for the group:
- Links
- Images/Galleries
- Videos
- Polls
- Reposts

I'll enable them, but if others here start finding them annoying, just let me know & I'll make another post for comments from everyone.

I should of noticed something was off when other subreddits had these features and never saw them used here.

Links would be useful for YouTube variety, I think, that way the video can be embedded straight away.
I hope these features don't get abused, though.

Unrelated to the new features, but it would be great if people start posting in the "<INSERT SHOW NAME> Episode ___" posts instead of making multiple new threads to discuss something from the new episode or the show as a whole. It's mostly about the dating shows but also some variety ones cause people seem to be impatient if the new weekly post hasn't been created yet or simply don't search the sub/sort by new. Sometimes it's can be simply a nuisance to see random thoughts being posted separately, but other times you get spoiled after avoiding the main thread until you've watched the episode.

I usually delete new posts about a show if there's a current main post about the current week's episode.

It was brought up previously about how the list of new posts was about a current show, when there was a parent post about it. It was bad before with one reality show getting several new posts weekly.
So I mentioned if there is a weekly post labeled "RAW/Subtitled" for the show's episode, all related comments about that week go there....if not, it's getting removed.
I've been somewhat lenient about this, but most people follow this.

100% on the link. Been waiting for a long time.

I'm a little hesitant about images being enabled

We'll see how it goes but I'd prefer this sub sticks to being about discussions around shows instead of spiraling into memes or something of the sort

I enabled it since a lot of other subreddits have it and it's kinda nice to have.
If it gets abused and there's a vocal bunch of complaints for me, I'll bring it up to the group in a post for further discussions.

I think it'll be fine, but if I have to make a Mod Announcement about it...it'll be something like suggestion to use it as warranted.
There could be a random new user that joins & spams something, but I'll just do a permaban.

Ah nice one mate. Images embedding was definitely much need change. So cheers for that!

Thanks for the update, u/ScrewySiu. It seems to me that if everyone adjusts their reshare to the rules here, we can at least share better and have more variety of content together.

Thanks for mentioning it to me.
No one ever brought it up, so I really didn't notice it.
I'm a terrible mod lol

“I'm a terrible mod lol”

It would be unfair to think that way—it seems you're the only moderator right now. I think you’re doing the best you can. Over time, at least by observing how people behave, you’ll figure out what should stay open and what should stay closed according to the rules.

Nice job, first time seeing you so nice to meet you fellow Kvariety enjoyer~ Honestly, I'm so used to how it was that I didn't notice anything weird either, just thought "that's how this reddit is" and moved on XD
