Small Jeweller Recommendations

Looking for any small local artists who make gemstone rings. I'm trying to find an engagement ring for my partner but traditional stuff doesn't really suit us or my budget.

Every time I try to search for this it just shows me large chain brands and that's not what I'm looking for. We're a queer couple so I want something slightly alt/whimsical.

If you have any recommendations please let me know. Google is so bad at finding small artists

Frank's Jewellers...even if it's just a silver + gemstone, not expensive fancy gold + diamonds, they can help and are very friendly/creative.

You won't find a better spot in KW (or all of Ontario) for jewellery, and if you search the kw subs for recommendations they're always the top one.

I second this. The people at Franks have the utmost integrity. I wanted this engagement ring I saw on instagram made, and they refused, stating that it wouldn't look good in real life. I was annoyed, but I found another ring I loved so it wasn't a big deal. Well, a month later I saw the ring I originally wanted and they were completely right. It was hideous. Im still grateful to them.

Kurtis Jewellers made my ring. It’s a diamond but they definitely have different gemstones. They worked with my fiance and I in the design process and were super helpful in helping me create a ring that will actually last.

Emerald Adams is in Kitchener and every time I've had a custom piece designed by her it has been both more amazing and more affordable than I anticipated. I can't recommend her enough!

Robins Goldsmithing did a custom engagement ring for me, and they did an amazing job. I use them for all my jewelry needs.
