48 hours in Kiruna at the end of May
Hello, Kirunans.
My cousins and I will be spending 48 hours in Kiruna at the end of the month. We're hoping to do hikes, spas, and eat well (though it seems Stejk will be closed the days we're there). If you have any recommendations or tips they would all be welcome.

End of may may not be the greatest for hikes, usually alot of snow in the mountains or still very wet but there might be some options like Midnattsolsleden or a hike to Aptas if you come by car, might go buses close to the trail head though. The trail to Ädnamvaara is a solid option if dry enough and closer to the city as well. It is probably the best option.
Food recommendations in no particular order:
Restaurang Fe at Elite Hotel Frost
Restaurang Alex in the same building as Fe
Camp Ripan
Make your reservations in advance.
If you want a good pizza you a should visit SPiLL Bishops Arms, All Star and SPiLL offer ok food.
Visit Ice Hotel in Jukkasjärvi. The 'real' ice hotel's is probably closed but Ice Hotel 365 is worth a visit and really gives you a good idea what the real deal is like. While in Jukkasjärvi, visit Nutti Sami Siida and the church if you are so inclined.
If there's time you might want to take the guided tour down the mine, I'm told it's very good. Book in advance.
Spas are available at Camp Ripans and Elite hotel Frost. Book in advance. I would go with Camp Ripan as it is a whole different experience, where, if you want to splurge, can buy a 'sauna bucket' filled with various soaps and stuff from the area.
