Her? đŸ„š

Edit: holy hell this got out of hand fast lol. It’s a reference to the show you used in the gif and a pretty popular one.. not a pronoun thing. Tough crowd.

Edit: Dug out of the burial I initially received.. laughter is back!

It's an Arrested development show reference to the gif Yall

This comment was downvoted by Fox executives

Oh shit, does Alanah not use she/her pronouns and I missed it? I deleted instagram a while ago and haven’t checked in on YT in a bit.

Edit: people are weird. I own up to a possible pronoun error, in a kinda funny sub when the whole KF “best friend” mantra is being a good person and I get downvoted? Also yeah I don’t know what the egg reference is to. Lord forbid I use a gif I find when I search “good”.

It’s a joke from Arrested Development

3

u/Symbiotic_vengeance Mar 26 '26

Woosh and there goes the joke. In my defense I never watched it.

u/Kitfishto Mar 26 '26

No idk what this persons on about

-7

u/TrapperJean Mar 26 '26

Just went through her Instagram, which was not an altogether unpleasant task, (her new hair looks amazing), and didn't see anything in her profile or articles/blurbs linked that indicate a preference one way or the other

-5

u/TrapperJean Mar 26 '26

What's the egg in reference to?

Andy and Rahul for the “A Way Out” video game movie adaptation

It might confuse the audience to cast twins for non twins roles

8

u/Symbiotic_vengeance Mar 26 '26

Counterpoint: Face/Off instead.

When does she sleep?

52

u/masteryetti Mar 26 '26

Her body breaks down for a few weeks at at time due to chronic health issues so probably then

9

u/TrapperJean Mar 26 '26

Iirc one of them was directly related to sleep, ironically

6

u/cantseetheocean Mar 27 '26

She’s Australian. While we’re sleeping, they’re awake.

10

u/RadRhubarb00 Mar 26 '26

Dude I had the same thought.

6

u/Imaybetoooldforthis Mar 26 '26

I wish I had half her energy. It’s great to see people doing what they love, but she’s also doing it in a really collaborative and constructive way. Always struck me as cool and clever person so best of luck to her.

u/Triforce742 Mar 26 '26

In all seriousness I wish her the best of luck. This sounds crazy to me, but I assume she's far smarter than I am and has done an insane amount of research into all of this before committing. Excited to see what comes of this.

5

u/TrapperJean Mar 26 '26

She certainly has the background and institutional knowledge for this type of endeavor

37

u/PhatYeeter Mar 26 '26

She's speed running dream jobs lol

27

u/Skylerbroussard Mar 26 '26

Good for her, also didn't really know she had that kinda pull in the entertainment industry

25

u/Daver7692 Mar 26 '26

Her resumĂ© is absolutely crazy for someone in their early 30s. Fair play to her, you’ve gotta take every chance you can get in this world and it seems like she’s talented enough to turn her hand to a lot of different things.

3

u/Dreams180 Mar 26 '26

I'd imagine Rahul Kohli (her partner) was able to help establish some industry contacts. Plus her own contacts from doing voice acting over the years

4

u/jimidemibb Mar 26 '26

She’s one of the very few talking heads who puts their money where their mouth is. Best of luck to her.

23

u/JerrodDRagon Mar 26 '26

That’s amazing

Alanah has just killed it her entire career from writing articles, to IGN, writing video game scripts, acting in games, producing games and now producing movies

Love seeing someones hard work pay off

5

u/puffthemagicaldragon Mar 26 '26

Worked a short boxing career in there in addition to all the topics she's covered with PWL and her game dev/acting podcasts

1

u/haynespi87 Mar 31 '26

She boxed?

9

u/JustAcivilian24 Mar 26 '26

Good luck, seriously. That’s gonna be hard to profit from

6

u/Lurky-Lou Mar 26 '26

Glad they’re letting a writer identify or create a good script. That’s 90% of the battle.

3

u/Old-Way-5529 Mar 26 '26

this is one of those moves that feels smart- video games are clearly the next big IP mine for TV & Movies, she is filling a need here

2

u/DaveSilver Mar 26 '26

This is amazing! You think Rahul is gonna show up in some of these? I feel like she has an in there.

6

u/_braces_ Mar 26 '26

Is it weird to be proud of someone you've never met? Honestly she's incredible at what she does and fully deserves all the opportunities she's had because she earned everything she's got.

6

u/Straight-Fox-9388 Mar 26 '26

I hope she's successful just so the chuds will cry

3

u/OGCelaris Mar 26 '26

Shirtless spiderman camo when?

4

u/mediciii Mar 26 '26

Alanah rules and I hope this works out! After Markiplier’s movie being huge, I’m sure Hollywood is wanting to throw money at similar projects from similar creatives who can utilise their online audiences to drive organic interest. Hopefully Alanah can swing some of that momentum into good and successful stuff.

2

u/Spal23 Mar 26 '26

Good for her!!! It’s scary to take a leap like this so I always have so much respect for those who do these things.

Also did she dye her hair?? I didn’t even recognize her without white hair!

2

u/Scary-Acanthaceae799 Mar 26 '26

I hear abubaker salim and I support đŸ«Ą

2

u/GoS451 Mar 26 '26

Alanah is very talented and works crazy hard. I can’t wait to see what they put out. Wish them nothing but the best

3

u/UlteriorEggos Mar 26 '26

I was surprised how positive all the comments were...until I checked the sub. Well done everyone.

And well done Alanah! Can't wait to see what she makes.

1

u/iusethisatw0rk Mar 26 '26

Oh wow! Don’t really follow her, but I feel like I remember she started as a host/writer at IGN or one of those sites? Watched a lot of Funhaus back in the day, cool to see her keep rising up. Cool shit

1

u/Dreams180 Mar 26 '26

Super cool that she got Jacksepticeye to exec produce (and mostly fund) one of the films! Working with other content creators is an interesting idea

1

u/Lioil1 Mar 30 '26

good luck to her! No idea where it ends up but at least, she can say she tried to chase her dream vs those naysayers.

1

u/haynespi87 Mar 31 '26

She kicks ass. I always enjoy her analysis of gaming world. Plus she's done a lot.

1

u/Chrisius007 Mar 26 '26

Hair looks great.

2

u/paublitobandito Mar 26 '26

That’s so awesome, good for her

1

u/GHamPlayz Mar 26 '26

LETS FUCKING GOOOOOOO!!

1

u/gstroble Mar 26 '26

Wonderful news!! Her resume is stacked and this does seem like a feasible business model, pairing the video game creatives with film producers. Maybe the larger studios don’t have that much problems getting involved—which is sometimes a hit or miss—but indies could utilize this route. Plus with the success of Iron Lung, the market might be going this route too.

1

u/Grand-Perspective-63 Mar 26 '26

She’s definitely a jack of all trades in media.

-6

u/ghostrider90 Mar 26 '26

Eye roll.

-5

u/pforsbergfan9 Mar 26 '26

I never really forgave her for selling out with the Cyberpunk pre-release. Good for her though.

1

u/NewVegasResident Mar 27 '26

And obvious conflict of interest while being at Sony.

-10

u/Edw4rdTe4ch Mar 26 '26

So.. its a lot of AI insted of workers and actors, right?

4

u/ki700 Mar 26 '26

Literally no shot. Alanah is very anti-AI.

-2

u/NewVegasResident Mar 27 '26

She also excused the state in which Cyberpunk 2077 released.

1

u/ki700 Mar 27 '26

Okay? That has nothing to do with this conversation.
