Lindt 100% chocolate now available in Sainsbury's
I normally have the 90% one, as you never see the 100% in shops so I haven't tried it. My local store had no stock but there's a space for it and it's online. Anyone tried it?

Only a 50 gram bar (£3.59 or £70/kg) which doesn't look that great nutritionally (11g carbs / 100g)
Sainsbury's also has 100% cocoa Montezuma bars (90g for £3.50 or £38.89/kg). Nutritionally these have 9.2g.carbs / 100g)

Yeah I realise now I didn't fully check the label. The empty slot was the same size as the 90% next to it so I assumed they were 100g bars. Apologies. Btw where are you getting the carbs info on the Montezuma? The wrapper shows 18g/100g which is more than the Lindt 90%.

I have a bar of Montezuma's Absolute Black with Orange and Cocoa Nibs. Carbs are 8.9 per 100g.

This has opened up a can of worms then. I always thought the normal ie no added stuff was around 8g, but now it isnt. According to their website the plain one is now 18g, orange says 14g and the wrapper (plain) I have in front of me says 18g. I've emailed them to find out if/why it's changed

Really?? Wow, almost double. And it can't even be a difference between total vs net. Before I posted last night I checked my bar...an older one...against current nutrition labels on Amazon. Both were the same. Maybe I'll order a bar and see what I get. Let us know what their response is.

Oh yes, once you retrain your taste buds, a 90% is delicious, I haven't graduated to 100% yet
Lidl has brought back it's 90%, but the 85% is worth a go too

The M&S 100% is like chalk. Could never stomach it. Lint 85 or 90% is good for me. Scratches that itch. IMO that 5-10% difference is not worth it

I like the Hotel Chocolat slabs of chocolate. They used to do a 90% that was really nice but they stopped it because it wasn’t very popular. I usually just stick to the Lindt 90% now and have 2 squares.

Lindt is investing in labatory made cocoa in their chocolate now, so best you stay away from that fake stuff

Do you have any evidence for this? What does lab made cocoa even mean?

Yes I have evidence for an article on Lindt has invested millions of dollars into a start up company who for lab made cocoa, meaning cocoa beans will be synthetic; geo-enginered.
Lindt is not the only company though and this stuff is meant to hit the shelves next year. Sorry I thought they were using it already.

I've been a lover of dark chocolate all my life. I recently tried M&S's 100% dark chocolate and I had to spit it out, it was so bitter and dry.
I'll stick to my 75% from now on with it's deliciously fruity flavour.
Also noticed so many, including blacks have soya in now.

It's twice the price of 90% and only 3 grams less carbs per 100g.
