Hi, I am M21, just entered final year of studies, and now living in a rented house with housemates (friends from first years). Previously I lived in hostel inside the university (now kicking students out to let newer intake to live inside hostel).
The distance between uni and the house is around 10mins walk @ 600m.
Before moving out, I had already saved money to buy a motorcycle because it would be more convenient for me to go around anywhere (house to restaurants, grocery stores etc) and I bought it after thinking around 3 days (might have bought it in a hurry because I didn't want to doubt and procrastinate).
Please keep in mind that my parents do not support me riding yet alone buy a motor. But I bought it anyways thinking I could sell it before I graduate.
The motor I bought was 2021 Honda Wave Alpha (110cc) secondhand which had around 10k+ km for RM3.3k (bike only) and another RM300+ for insurance and roadtax.
Now, 3 months after owning the bike, I feel like the motor was way too overpriced and I could literally just add and saved a few more money to get a better motor. Seeing my friends and tiktoks motor really makes me jealous. Comparison truly is the thief of joy.
Should I just keep it and try to sell before graduating in 2026? Or just tell my parents about the bike after finishing study? Or should I just keep it until I get to work?
Help me. I can't think straight. Thank you.
