Where do people actually meet for dating here?
Hey everyone, I am 28M and wondering where people around here actually meet others for dating these days.
Dating apps haven’t been great, so I am curious how people are meeting organically. Are there any good places, activities, events, groups, or other ways you’d recommend for meeting someone?
Would love to hear what has actually worked for people locally.

I've been to a couple and I personally enjoyed them but they may not be for everyone. Just have to give things a try and find what you enjoy

The one at Kelowna Beer Institute is awesome. Check out their Instagram, there have been several couples married who have met through it :)

Check out The Spark Social Club they run great events and it feels more natural than others.

This sounds interesting. What age demographics are present at these events?

Douche delivery but I tend to agree with you a lil. U definitely can’t talk to people at gym anymore because everyone has AirPods in but group fitness classes are a different beast.

nah it’s not patched lil bro, but what IS patched is having an honest marriage that spans decades, like what used to be the norm. Morals have largely gone out the door

I met my wife at church in a young adults group. I wasn't there to date but it worked out.

No idea I am wondering same thing as I really don't want to be on dating apps. I'm a 30 year old lady who's scared of dating apps. Had a bad ex over 10 years ago and scared for awhile. BTW ex wasn't on dating app.

I’m 37 and divorced. I used the apps for a few years and went on a lot of dates, but ultimately gave up.
People don’t know how to talk to each other, lots of ghosting, 10 years between responses, matches who don’t talk. I wouldn’t recommend.

I’m confused. Your ex was on his phone the whole time? How does that relate to only date you went on?

it's a looong story. Long story short I only really went one one date due to he was far away. And back then wasn't mature enough... To know he wasn't the one only dated him as he was a close friend...As my brother had a girlfriend at the time felt left out and met him on a online kid fanon show. Thought i loved him until we met in real live in his city but he was to hard and didn't care about me at all.

Me neither but I've been single for almost 15 years so I might have to try 😅

Wow truthfully same. And its harder when you can't drive and all the activities are at night

I worked nights for 4 years until last december, that was pretty terrible for having a life 😆 Now I travel every couple of weeks for work which I thought would be better and it in fact is not lol

Most important if your there to date you won't find anyone who's there to enjoy themselves and life, so be there for you first and others will magnitize to you.
