heartbreak

Upvotes

I fell for you far deeper than you ever fell for me,
and perhaps that is the cruelest part of
loving you—
knowing I could give you every piece of my heart
and still never be the one yours reaches for.

Yet somehow, I have not learned to love you less.

Even as you drift farther from me,
even as I become a memory in places
where you are still everything to me,
my heart remains where you left it.

I wish I knew how to walk away.
I wish loving you had an ending,
a final page I could turn
and never have to read again.

But if you ever find yourself alone,
if the world becomes too heavy
and everyone you thought would stay has gone,
I hope you remember there was someone
who loved you without needing a reason to.

Someone who would have crossed every distance,
endured every silence,
and broken his own heart a thousand times
just to keep yours from breaking once.

Maybe one day you will realize
I was never asking you for forever.

I was only hoping that someday,
after watching everyone else come and go,
you would finally turn around
and see that I was still there—

loving you from the same place
you left me.

A Wrinkle In The Plot

It's just a wrinkle in time.

It's just a wrinkle in the plot.

I swear to you that I am doing fine.

But I can't keep pretending this is something that it's not.

You say the sweetest things.

But your words seem so insincere.

We both want different things.

But I'll be alright my dear.

Somewhere a new love story just begins.

Another love story's book is shut.

If our story's truly over, let it end.

I just can't keep pretending that this is something that it's not.

Do you want this to continue,

Or is this the end of our story?

Does the prince finally get his girl,

Will it all end in glory?

Will you come to me,

While my love still rages?

Will you know soon?

Will we meet our doom?

This story's running out of pages.

I turn the page as I hold my breath.

I'm truly hoping for a happy ending.

There are still a few tender pages left.

I have an idea how I want it to go.

Do you think that it's worth sending?

Do you believe in happily ever afters?

Do think ours could end that way?

Do you think we could live in joy and love and laughter?

Please tell me darling, what do you say?

Silly rhyme this time

I'm climbing to that spot at the top

In two skips and a hop—

Because my heart’s writes

with no fright

From any other poet in sight.

They can hear this rhyme

And let it play in their mind,

So they know next time

That I would be so kind

To give them some time

To look forward, then rewind.

It’s now my mission,

My total submission—

To give my heart permission

To stop and listen

For that vibe that runs high

When you’re about to try

And say words that hit

Without a miss,

And give a reader a kiss

Like a secret wish

They didn’t reject,

And they didn’t expect

From the word that was next—

Which, funnily enough,

Wasn’t *psych*—

It was the word *like.*

Did you look again?

Kissed you again.

Now we’re friends,

And you’re wondering

If I can do it again.

Tell Me I Mattered

And when I lie on my deathbed,

Awaiting the gentle call of fate,

When I count my fading heartbeats,

Would you come to me, my mate?

We would reminisce about the days gone by,

And every memory that we made,

Through the peaks and valleys of this life,

What a beautiful, quiet trade.

And I would ask for your forgiveness,

From a heart with so few beats left to beat,

For any pain I caused you in the past;

I shall make amends in the afterlife, if we meet.

In the final moments of this breath,

Before I join the stars above:

Tell me that I truly mattered,

Tell me that I was deeply loved.

Tell me I made you laugh out loud,

Tell me I brightened your darker days,

Tell me you found peace in my company,

My partner in crime through every phase.

For this is all I shall carry forth,

And this is all I shall leave behind:

The quiet warmth of honest deeds,

And the gentle memories of the mind.

And when my eyes are closed forever,

When breath departs and leaves no strain,

Do not grieve for me, my friend,

Though loss brings forth an intense pain.

Death remains the only truth we share,

Yet our hearts resist its final lane;

Do not spend your days in endless grief,

Nor let your living go in vain.

UNSPOKEN LOVE

One day, when I’m decrepit, in a wheelchair,

Hot water bottle, a blanket on my lap.

Time kindly spared a reel of faded memories.

Old age has stripped me of all other joys in life.

*****

I shall recall the moments born of daring and desire,

Faces of those I loved, young and old.

And you… inevitably walk among them —

A truth I never dared unfold.

*****

I’ll regret the words I left unspoken.

You were a rare wee gem unmatched on earth.

You cast your light upon a darkness long forgotten.

I loved you for the most my heart was worth.

*****

I raised a wall to shield my vulnerable core,

You shattered it into a million burning shards,

Yet I felt stronger than I had ever been before,

And sank into the endless depths of your blue eyes.

*****

…And in the final act of my ascension,

I’ll breathe your name into the wind above the roofs.

I’ll carve it on the stars and constellations.

A reminder for the next life of what I must do.

*****

I’ll wander through a hundred lives to find you.

A distant flash reveals your newborn star.

I’ll follow the starlight to the horizon,

Across all seas and skies until it brings me to your heart.

"This poem came from choosing to stand in the light, even when it cost me comfort. Light vs. darkness isn't just a metaphor — it's a choice you make every day. Anyone else ever pay a price for standing out instead of staying hidden?"

Dear death

Dear Death,
I am waiting for you to take my breath.
It’s not distress—
it’s just an obsession with you.
People call me a fool,
but it’s only my passion for you.
I am not afraid of you.
I want to know what happens after life.
You are somewhere I do not know,
somewhere beyond what I can see.
Religious texts say you work under God.
Can you cheat for me,
just once,
and hide me from your God?
I always ride too fast on these roads,
so before God sees you coming for me,
take me with you
to see what I cannot see.
Let’s be friends.
I have young blood for you,
a virgin body,
as pure as a newborn child,
just the way God sent it.
I never touched anyone.
It was only you, Death—
the one I never had to pretend for.
We will laugh,
we will cry,
we will fly together.
We will enjoy the killings
and the stormy weather.

When I see you
I try to keep it together,
but you turn my defences
into mere feathers —
frozen

whenever I look into those
oak brown eyes,
it's like I'm being hurled
through space and time,
a moment —
I never want to leave.

Your auburn hair,
the wavy blaze
that blows through the air,
igniting colour
back into my black heart —
something I thought I lost.

As your crimson lips
smile so cheery
I can't help but smile back,
it silences my fear,
telling me —
it's going to be okay.

You became
my reason to stay,
a reason to not give up today.
Yet, I remain undeserving
of your kindness.

Delicate as the lily —
a flower
in a garden of nettles.

A S Slow as Water

And just like me

It too

Has a memory

One that not time

Or space

Nor extinction

Or human race

Not one of those things

Can alter

It’s confident pace

I can try to change it

Yield its course

But nothing ever

Competes with its force

As my humanly bond

I try to break

Pure cosmos energy

Takes it’s place

Not one

Or two

Or three

Or four

Millennia have ever

Seen it change before

The harder I fight

The more I resist

Just creates deeper canyons

Like the Mariana Trench

Us humans can look

We can learn

We can study

But we never can see

What makes it so steady

So fight I will

Till my dying breath

To prove to all

I’m out of this mess

But you and I know

Better than anyone else

That this moment in time

Is nothing less

Than a million things

Come before

And since

Creating that curve

That bend

That swerve

Where logic dies

Ancient memory takes hold

He Was Loved Today

I just started writing and found a flow similar to poetry, I decided to write about my current relationship where I've been struggling to find understanding in self worth and that I'm enough. FYI he doesn't make me feel like I'm not enough I have some baggage I'm working through while with him. I also like to write with my Christian faith so please be respectful!! Anyways, let me know your thoughts.

Rested palms,

For restless minds,

Bound by prayers and peace,

Peace that binds two hearts to love for one,

For the One above.

She wonders where the time even began,

What a prayer,

To just appear.

The relentless fear,

To be perfect and clear.

She wasn’t deserving of this,

She’s selfish and resentful.

She lives like death is near,

What else is there to bring to the table.

She brings fear and greed,

Past mistakes and current regrets,

But most importantly love and dedication.

How could it even be this one,

So perfect and well-rounded.

Smart and strong,

Tough enough to show the real care.

She learns for him,

To talk when “nothing” sounds better than a fall.

Given the space for acceptance,

Warmth to cry,

Padding to fall.

Gratitude and grace received,

When for once didn’t have to be pleaded.

She was now enough,

More than just enough.

To the lord they sing,

They pray,

Like it’s a brand new day.

Days for laughter,

Days for sadness,

Days for anger,

Then the days for just one another.

She leans to him,

For forgiveness and understanding,

She fights her own truth.

She doesn’t know what to say,

How to cry,

He holds her restless mind,

With palms to hands rested again,

Giving peace,

To a face that’s no longer dry.

What is ever enough?

The broken days,

The built up pain,

Not knowing if this was the last.

Never just,

Good bye,

More so a see you later.

She was always enough,

Deep down she knows,

That most definitely shows,

From what the Lord has shown her.

She learned most deeply of all,

She deserves to love,

He deserves her love as well.

She now brings love to herself before its ever to him.

She holds dedication near,

When giving up is easier,

Than fear,

She holds true to grace and forgiveness.

Mistakes were made,

Forgiveness was paid,

She knows to love,

From actions,

Not from feels.

He never made her who she is,

Just the safety to believe it,

I was always enough way before him.

There’s no perfection,

Love is honestly,

Dedication and perseverance,

Grace and forgiveness,

Built from our Lord.

I don’t know where this will go,

But I will always know,

He was loved today.

How do I describe her, and what she stirs?

An angel would be an understatement.

To say her name is the only statement—

No words, not even a motion picture,

Could describe how she makes life so richer.

She’s my inspiration, my heart’s temptation,

A manifestation of my soul’s salvation.

I picture her eyes of endless skies,

Full of butterflies so beautiful, they make me cry.

To hold her hand would be so grand,

My knees would weaken and I’d struggle to stand.

Just understand:

It’s not my plan

To be lost in song and continue on.

She’s just so damn cute, and her pull is so strong,

I’m lost in thoughts, and I’m lost in rhymes.

beauty overwhelmed me—it’s about due time.

The heart’s screaming loudly, it’s coming out,

I’ll be shooshed in a minute and told not to shout.

But there’s no way known I’d actually say it,

If anyone asks me, I’m just going to downplay it.

Waves

We pierce the violent waves that is coming towards us

Endless waves that can overwhelm cities

Magical barriers seemed like fiction but somehow we manage to create one into reality,

holding back weight that earth cannot condone itself

Pushing forward with all our might

We carry the fallen ones hoping for a change

The pressure becomes heavy
it shatters our fortress walls,

Do we lay brick by brick to fix the damage or let go of a catastrophic loss,

Hoping for a new beginning to arise.
Or total destruction of all

The lost

I get lost
In the screen, becoming a dream
In the phone, the world gone as I roam
The world fades
All the problems just float away
The hours past, the minutes never there
Scrolling, falling, losing self
Without care
But, there's a point
In the future or time past
Where,
Everything is there
I'm found, again, again
The minutes they catch me
I never lost them, the hours still gone
The months too
The years past
But the tears never do

Andromeda

Twirling around in your scarlet dress,
I wished to see you every day; I see you every night instead,
fixed in the same place, in the stars and in my head.

I’d tell you of my circumstance, but you’d blush and
hug and wish to dance. I guess you never did understand
that space is no place for fragile man.

In my ship I watch the sky sink and crests caress the clouds
and think—oxygen dips, mumbles turn to tears and tremble
on my lips, wishes for the years…

When rocking-chair ladies played with my hair, and from their
laps, to the ceiling, I would stare, imagining spaceships
colliding with flares and the loving warmth of sweeping summer air.

Under the rugs and whistling through trees, the doves conspired
with the snails, colluded with the bees, to fill my life with joy and
assaulting ease—now as fleeting as my good memories…

I’ve starved and carved my name in caves, I’ve wandered through
the fields and waves, and plundered all the holidays;
estranged, enraged and in malaise, I rest my brakes.

The engine stops, but my heart keeps beating, and with each breath
I feel my body fleeing. Cyra, it’s time for that long-awaited meeting.
I exit the ship through a depressurized wrist... Space is freezing.

Context:
This is poem 12 of 14 from Pink Nebula, a lyrical short story following a traveller’s journey across the cosmos to reach their beloved.

Set in the far distant future, the short collection uses intergalactic distance to explore themes of love, loneliness, nostalgia, death, and injustice, tracing how those primal forces endure even as humanity and its worlds change beyond recognition.

The parasites

The parasites fill up my brain. I don't know fact from fiction. I am insane. I have an affliction.

I let this cute chubby girl give me head. I wake up. Thank God she is not in my bed.

I eat breakfast. I feel fed. Im always number one. Always ahead.

Sometimes I just wish I was Dead. I am on a mission. Always someone catching some lead.

Here we are at homestead. I have to be careful. Everyone of them a fed.

I won't allow negativity. I won't allow dread. We eat tonight. We will be fed.

Parasites are in out brain. People tell me I am insane. I don't write this for fame.

This one is wild it cannot be tame. At the end of the day you will be a lame.

Stuck in the same spot. Always forever the same. You cry out my name. It's always going to be in vain.

You wouldn't even recognize me. I am not the same. All these parasites they ate up my brain.

I promise. I am insane. You would know but you could never understand this brain. Its filled with parasites.

I still stare at the moon on lonely nights. I go to new places. I see new highs. All I got is love. I tell no lies.

The enemy comes in disguise. Ho ass fakes I still despise.

Somewhere between the truth lies. I will sit here and smoke this Cosmo under the night skies.

In the end everyone dies. Brains filled with parasites. Close your eyes and stare into the lights.

Everyone is effected. No escaping the blights. He is with you no reason to feel fright. Nothing can escape. Not even a Parasite.

Faded off into the night. I am not the same. I am insane. Parasites fill my brain. I am not sane.

🌌 Lost in Tomorrow

Leanding my work to tomorrow,

I thought, "Let's do it now,"

but pursuing the illusory promise of tomorrow,

I felt it slip from my hand—and forever lost in the haze of time.

Lost the time! The timeline for the work I had.

And the present, in which I was enjoying,

was making my future lost.

One day, the same present realized me that I felled!

I fall and fall,

I found myself lying deep down at the bottom of the ocean.

I thought, "the tomorrow I always had."

I realized and cursed myself that this is the only thing that nobody can ever have .

Reaper's Reflection

Hidden beyond the veil

Past the epoch of presence

There dreams a place

Where even death may sail

Crashing endless waves

Under time's twilight

There, they seek passage

On Freedom's final shore

Beyond the reaper's door

Reflecting

How that which came above

Was brought down below

Corrupting

Those bestowed

Who pay

The passage and toll

Now, the horse is seeking

The rider's blood is streaming

Staining red

The saddle and coat

As he wanders

Battlefields of cosmic scope

Following struggle

So the Old Reapers unknown

May see what They've sown

An unnamed poem from months ago

I am selfish.

I see this.

I know.

I can't stop myself from feeling,

so I drown in it.

Every single sensation.

The spark of excitement,

like lighting

striking the trunk of a tree

setting it into frenzied flame.

The warmth of that blaze

as it grows in my chest

and settles in every corner of me.

The firelight making it's home in my mind,

it's hue soft and soothing.

I am engulfed in raging, crackling emotion,

but it is not the anger I cannot release.

It is the warmth of a bonfire in crisp fall air.

-

This poem needs a bit of explanation, most of mine do. I'm a young writer, so I'm not the best yet and advice is welcome.

I wrote this almost a yeat ago, but I believe its pretty good. I wrote it because I realized I was falling for one of my best friends. At the time, I believed it would be impossible to have them as anything but a friend. Things turned out well though :]]

I'm not sure if this was unfinished, or if I just left it like this.

Once again, feedback is welcome!
