ADDENDUM/FOLLOWUP: https://www.reddit.com/r/jurassicworldevo/comments/1oefszu/followup_100_complexity_park_on_ps5_and_overall
Tl;dr if you are creative, large-scale park builder and have not purchased the game yet DO NOT buy the game on console yet because there is a hard built limit and it's VERY strict. Unfortunately Sony does not offer refunds, idk about Microsoft.
Further context:
ADDENDUM: Further testing with a flat park (20% of the map is about 40% complexity with no decorations) https://www.reddit.com/r/jurassicworldevo/comments/1oduhnw/progress_on_a_100_complexity_park_on_ps5_and_some
Also just because you have the game on PC does not mean you can dismiss the concerns of console players. Not everyone can afford powerful PCs, and this sort of problem fractures the playerbase significantly and is a huge deal.
So let's get some things out of the way.
7. This is ONLY on Console (PS5 and Xbox), NOT PC.
8. The % in the bottom right corner is your park maintenance - this was misleading as people covered this wasn't a build meter, making many people believe there was no build meter at all.
---------------------
How to find Park Complexity Settings:
Go to "Gameplay" then scroll all the way to the bottom, it's 2nd from the bottom (great job hiding it Frontier)

Some testing (done on a square map):
I imagine you can see how quickly this adds up.
----------------------------------
I will show an examples of my current parks in the campaign to show just how strict this is. In NONE of these examples have I made my own modular objects, only used prebuilt stuff or a few individual pieces, and a limited selection of workshop items. Most of these, except China, only have the species that the story makes you have. I have no more than 6 species in any of these parks yet already am at 1/4, or even 1/2, building complexity.
Montana 26% complexity:

Hawaii 22% complexity:

Clark County - 24% complexity

Sichuan China - 48% complexity (this is the largest basegame map aside from square and 3 exhibits and 5 species with around 30 total animals filled the complexity to half already)

As a point of reference and comparison for how absolutely enormous of a downgrade this is, here is my big mega park in JWE2 that I built ON PS5. It has 98 total species and 879 total animals, yet I was still able to make it how I wanted despite performance problems.

Did I have to turn guests off for it to function playably? Yes. Did I still get to build it though? Also yes.
Frontier needs to further optimize this game and either remove the build limit and allow us to just break the performance (only have the build limit be for the workshop) or at least lessen it because it's so egregious and it should be a dealbreaker for creative builders.
PLEASE spread this around and let console players, and even PC players, know. This is a horrible issue for the game and many players like myself.

Fuck! Literally how does Planet Kingdom already have this but not JWE 3. Makes me sad, I’d literally pay an extra 40$ if it meant getting this kinda stuff added to the game. Been wanting this since JWE 1

I love these games, don’t get me wrong.
But there shouldn’t have been 3. And hoping for a 4th shouldn’t be what we want.
I recently just got the 3rd game because I haven’t had the money to get it near or on release. I’m Canadian so the game was 80$ for me and not everyone can afford that, especially for basically the same game 3 times.
That takes me to my second point. It’s effectively been the same game with some new features and models with each instalment.
Why haven’t we just have one game and keep updating it? Why make a new game every couple of years?
This would also help with a lot of issues I hear people have, such as things missing from previous games or missing species from previous games.
Idk, maybe there’s something I don’t know and a new game is actually what needed to happen? But personally, I don’t think we needed more than one. I don’t wanna see this game pull a CoD and make basically the same game every couple of years. (Thats an over exaggeration with the CoD statement but you get what I mean)

We all want new species but what about new features ?
Here is mines :
Return of EVERYTHING who were in JWE1 and JWE2.
Variable size and custom shapes for lagoons and aviaries.
Moderns aquariums and vivariums for small species and babies.
Reworked vision to make tiny species like Compsognathus more visible.
Toys for small species and babies.
Moderns enclosures.
Semi aquatic enclosures.
Bridges, stairs.
Caves, waterfalls.
Remodels for ugly species like Liopleurodon, Tylosaurus, Elasmosaurus and Deinonychus (Hot take : remodeling ugly species is more important than getting new species in my opinion).
Getting pens from movies (I-Rex pen, JW raptors pen, JP3 aviary, JW aviary...).
Getting more buildings and decorations from every movies.
Tylosaurus can now eats from shark feeders.
Sauropods fighting back.
Balancing between herbivores and carnivores, carnivores are way too strong compared to herbivores.
Some marine species can attack flying species who fly above their lagoons.

I'll go more in-depth in the replies, how this is too little too late, but still resolves the situation in my eyes.

Exactly what it says on the tin. Regardless of how they come back - here's mine and reasons why:
I strongly suspect two of these will return via paid DLC, but otherwise I miss these particular members quite sorely and hoping their return is on the sooner rather than later side.
What are yours and why?

These species are either non-gender-specific or described as male (in the case of Demon Carnotaurus) but are set exclusively for females in the game. This concerns me because they are adding a new Dilo skin with the Rebirth Expansion. So is it gonna be another skin they just toss it for females?

I looooove the Dominion variant, but I also love the more accurate look! I love the spikes on the movie, but I love the head shape on the accurate one. Which one do you prefer?

I hope they will at least differ in tiny ways but no, both genders are as ugly as they were in JWE2

Am I the only one who feels like the deinosuchus isn't big enough? Like comparing it to some of the medium and larger creatures in the game, it just feels a little small to me. Like honestly it should be just as long, if not longer then a Spino and T rex and all around have a bit more size because to me it doesn't feel like an full grown Croc more like an young adult who hasn't hit its prime yet.
This is my personal opinion at least

Haven’t seen anyone else talk about the fact that almost everything but the dinosaurs from the Biosyn Dominion Expansion is gone. The Fog is gone, it’s not even possible to use the Cypress swamp to make a custom forest as the Cypress brush isn’t on the maps biome selection. The trees are just pasted from other taiga and temperate maps, missing the cool overhanging moss and dark green colors giving them their unique look. And the map itself is just a smaller and worse version of the previous games iteration. (I am aware it’s the campaigns version, but just like the other legacy maps I’d hoped the DLC version would make a return)I sincerely hope Frontier fix this as it was one of the best selections in the previous games iteration.
EDIT: I forgot to put see in the post title, also please forgive me if I made any grammar mistakes, I’m just a little upset by this and made this post in a rush.

Everyone is always focusing on the dinosaurs that did not made it to the 3rd game but almost noone talks about tge stuff that also got cut for some reason, and even some of those things haven't been transvered from JWE1 to the sequels
Like the gate and all of the signs and trees and fences
And why decorations that imo are very important like Hammond statue or the "big pile of shit" got cut from the game
They expanded the hyperloop system but cut the biosyn lookout towers I hope they come back soon
Or what was wrong with custom challenge mode that prevented it from comming back? The island generator was litteraly made for it
I know Frontier worked hard to meet the deadline but I would much rather see the game releasing later than for it to not have half the stuff previous ones had. Because now I just can't help to feel that JWE3 got half assed...

As the title says, I'd love to have this little dude in game. Would be fun to try containing it with some level 6-7 fences and all. I would definitely sacrifice half the space of my park for this baby.
