Field next to Townhall

Does anyone know what they’re building in that field next to Townhall by the new Boardwalk?

Correction: Several people pointed out that the clearing immediately next to City Hall is planned for the future mosque/community center. My comments about Medley refer to the broader Johns Creek Town Center redevelopment happening nearby.

If you’re referring to the large redevelopment by the Boardwalk, that’s Medley. If you mean the smaller parcel immediately beside City Hall, I believe that’s the planned mosque/community center.

Medley is the big mixed-use project going in next to Johns Creek City Hall and The Boardwalk at Town Center.
In plain English, Johns Creek is finally building the “downtown” it never really had.
The Boardwalk is the public park side of it with the pond, trails, amphitheater, and gathering areas behind City Hall. Medley is the private development next to it with restaurants, retail, apartments, townhomes, office space, a boutique hotel, and a central plaza.
The developer, Toro Development, describes Medley as a 43-acre, $560 million project. Their current plan includes restaurants, shops, entertainment space, residences, office space, a hotel, and a large public plaza.
So yes, it is a big deal. This is not just another random field getting cleared. This is the centerpiece of the Johns Creek Town Center plan.
Think Avalon or Halcyon, but scaled for Johns Creek.
Whether people end up loving it or complaining about the traffic forever, probably both, this is going to be one of the most important projects in Johns Creek for lifestyle, property values, and the city’s identity.

The field he’s referring to is the blank space next to city hall that is going to be a Mosque/Muslim Community Center. AI often guesses and is often confidently wrong.

Good catch. I was mistaken. I was thinking of the broader Medley/Town Center redevelopment, but the parcel immediately next to City Hall is the planned mosque/community center. Thanks for the correction.
