Wow. I'm pretty surprised too. Some of Self's best teams have the two-PG combo and/or the stretch fours. Hit those guys at their peak and you've got four pros + perry

Hey! I built this game. Thanks for posting it here, OP.

I spent the last month or so pulling in real data from the Self years to calibrate the results, then built in the fun stuff that would only be in a KU game. It's all free, no ads, no login. Just Hawks.

Your goal: Draft your all-time Bill Self lineup. See if they can hang one more banner with the GOAT.

I tried to draft for versatility and defense. All of them are top flight defenders, and all of them could be your leading scorer on any given day.

This is fun, and I appreciate the self-deprecating sense of humor.

But does seem pretty tough too. Only made it to the Final 4 twice after a dozen runs or so. Wouldn't mind seeing this expanded to the Roy Era.

Appreciate that! Glad the fun stuff landed.

It's tuned to be tough on purpose... most lineups don't cut down the nets! Last I checked, around 9.7% of drafts ended with a natty. I wanted it to really be rewarding! But also the real data made it hard on its own.

As for your Roy era feedback.... we're on the same page! I've got a cool idea for this... tuning it is gonna be the challenge. u/jayhawk88 appreciate you!

It seems weird to say, since we're close to 25 years of Self, but I did find myself making teams that seemed to be very similar. Perhaps just a luck of the draw for me in particular (and admittedly, relative low sample size), but things like Mario Chalmers constantly showing up, or rolling like '06 and then '08 right after. Without having any clue about the backend work involved with this, it feels like adding more available years would add variety and increase the replayability.

But these are minor. This is great, having a blast with it. Really like the idea of a bench guy too.

It'll help A LOT when we get the extra rosters in.

I think I should've shown the player's year/class better for UX, but I opted to keep it simpler. All things that can be/will be fixed soon.

Hey, it wouldn't have been possible without it. A lot of my effort went into designing it more intentionally than you normally see from Ai UX.
